So, you want to connect with the elements. Know this is a process that will take weeks so be prepared. Now, each element is going to take at least 3 days to a week to get to know. What you need to do for which ever element you want to connect to, you will meditate and come to know what the element is to you. Build up a connection, such as you would do for a friend, the more you meditate with it the better of a reception you will get.
So say you want to try to connect with fire first, sit next to an open flame, just watching it and feeling its heat. Meditate with the fire and find what it means to you get to know the fire and let the fire know you. For water, meditate with a bowl of water. Feel it in your hands and do the same as you did with the fire. Build up a stable connection. Earth you can get a hand full of dirt or meditate outside without shoes. for air its best to go outside on a few windy days to meditate and focus on the feel with your eyes closed.
"How do I know when I know the elements?"
Well, it depends on the person, it could just be you know what they mean to you. Or they could have a nice friendly feeling when your around them. Maybe you begin to feel their energy clear as day. It should just be easier to call on then and know them.
Look at what's underneath, my sweets.
