Brace yourselves, it's gonna be a long one!

To make up for the fact that I hadn't been able to upload lately

New Year's Eve.

Not really the evening you had been looking out to, but you had promised Roman, and also Peter, that you'd go to the party.

You'd been standing in front of your mirror for almost an hour now, nothing you had taken out of your wardrobe seemed nice enough to wear tonight. Most of your favorite clothes were still at Roman's place, and you had no intention of going there any time soon.

"You should wear the dark gray dress." you heard Destiny say to you. "You love that one."

"I know." you mumbled back at her. "But it's too 'party' like, you know."

"It's New Year's Eve, all the more reason to wear it!" Destiny replied with a slight chuckle. "It has pockets, that's an even better reason!"

You rolled your eyes to yourself in the mirror and put on the gray dress. You then searched your drawers for the black stockings you wanted to wear and pulled them up mid-thigh, your dress was long enough to cover them anyways.

The clock on your phone told you that the party had already started half an hour ago, so you quickly put on your converse sneakers, shoved your phone in the pocket of your dress and grabbed your coat before heading out to the party.

"Eva, glad you made it." Alisha smiled as she opened the door for you and let you in. "Want something to drink?"

You gave her a smile as you threw your coat on the pile of other coats and nodded. "Whatever is open is fine by me."

Alisha went off to the kitchen and you quickly followed her. As you walked by the living room, you immediately spotted Roman, Peter, Letha and Alison standing by a few other people. It seemed like they were having a good time and you suddenly felt anxious again and wanted to leave the party. This night would probably be more fun for them if you weren't around.

"Here you go." Alisha said, handing you a bottle of beer. She scanned your face and pulled you into a hug. "You okay?"

"I'm fine." you mumbled at her with the tiniest smile possible. "I'll be fine. Thank you though."

She pecked your cheek, "If you need me, just let me know. Okay?"

You nodded and took a sip of your beer, then pushing yourself through the crowd of people heading towards your friends.

Getting next to Letha and Peter, you saw Roman and Alison talking to each other. Alison seemed to be quite tipsy already and Roman trying to get her to drink some water in stead of alcohol.

Letha immediately gave you a hug as she saw you, and you let her.

"We were just talking about you with James. I think he likes you or something!" she smiled, kind of pulling you with her to Peter and James, who were still talking. The same James from the other party, who had been avoiding you because of what Roman had done to him.

The second you were in James' eyesight, he excused himself and vanished. As he always did, so that meant it was still working and you didn't mind that at all.

"Oo-kay?" Peter said to no one in particular.

"Maybe he's just shy?" Letha chuckled.

You faked a smiled and nodded. "Yeah I guess so!"

It was about an hour till midnight, Roman and Peter had just finished a game of beer pong, Letha was sitting by Alison, who wasn't feeling all too well, and you had no idea how many beers you'd had, but you still felt good so it couldn't have been that many.
