Lulu's P.O.V
I woke up to the rays of sunlight dancing around my room. I smiled and stood up to open the curtain all the way. I grabbed my journal and sat on the window seat. I looked out the window and saw flowers dancing, trees growing and birds chirping. I open my journal and start writing about what happened yesterday.
December 19 1918: My brother and I had a horrible fight. He kept questioning and pressuring Trent to tell him what I gave him. I knew that if we told him, he would arrest Trent for taking things off the princess. I gave the blacksmiths apprentice a job as the castles janitor since he lost his other job. His master was abusing him so we sent him to prison.
I closed my journal and placed it back into the drawer. I change out of my nightgown into a blue polka dot dress. It fits my body from the top to my waist then flows out. I put on my blue crystal tiara and blue crystal earrings. I put on my shoes and some light makeup they had at the time. I grab my purse after styling my hair into light waves down my shoulder.
I look in the mirror and smile. The girl looking back at me had bright green eyes, brown wavy hair with natural blonde highlights. She has a slim body frame but not too skinny. She has high cheek bones and perfect eyebrows. I check my outfit quickly and when I feel I'm satisfied I walk towards the door.
I make my way into the kitchen and sit myself on the table. My family haven't arrived yet but i don't mind. I sit around thinking of the view this morning when I hear a scream. It wasn't a feminine scream. It was a male.
I run towards the sound and found a sight no one should ever had to see. Trent was lying in the middle of the floor in a puddle of blood. I rush to his side and kneel down beside him. I don't care if I get my dress dirty. I lift his head off the floor and check for major problems. Since I'm a princess I have to learn about different things and I've been majoring In the medical area.
I see a large gash above his eye and his whole body is bruised. His upper left arm is cut from his shoulder blade to elbow and it won't stop bleeding. I scream for a guard and the nearest one races over. When he sees the sight ahead his face goes pale. He gulps and I tell him to carry him over to the infirmary right away.
He nods and runs off to do as I say. I chase after him as he carries Trent towards the hospital. When we get there I race to the nurse and tell her what's happened. She nods her head and leads the guard towards the spare room. We set him down and I tell the guard he can leave and change his clothes that are splattered with blood.
He nods his head and sprints away. I turn to Trent as I see many nurses coming in to look at him. The nurse asks me to leave because she needs to tend to Trent's wounds and operate on him. I nod my head not wanting to witness the gruesome picture it'll scar in my mind.
When I leave the room and head back to my chambers. It's awfully quiet when I get there, usually there the chatter of guards or chirping of birds, but I see a note lying there. I read it : You weren't at breakfast today. Come to my chambers when you read this note. Let's talk. Signed: James
I sigh and plop myself down onto the bed. Me and my brother rarely fight but after what happened yesterday it might have changed. Whenever we're around people we act normally so no one suspects anything. But when we are alone there's always uncomfortable silence hanging in the air.
Now that my brother wants to talk about it I guess I should go talk to him. After all i do have to ask him if he knows what happened to Trent. Trent is in no condition to talk so I won't go to him.
