Castle and the Secret ??

Castle pov...

I finish writing my book and send it to Gina for publishing. She had already read some of the chapters and liked them so it will be going straight to print ready to be released.

I get a text from Kate saying new case and the address. I head straight to the scene and meet the rest of the team there. Vic is Wyatt Jones who was stabbed in the chest and bled out in his own house. The door has blood on the broken glass and we think the the killer cut himself when getting in or out of the house. He was found by the families nanny Tyler when she came to pick up something one of the children forgot.

Kate and Elena have already talked to Tyler and find out she has been working for the family 6 months. Wyatt's wife is Indiana, they have 5 year old triplet girls Cleo, Rikki and Bella and a 3 year old son Byron. Indiana has been told and is picking up the children before meeting us at the precinct.

We finish examining the scene and leave Ryan and Espo to finish the canvas while we head to the precinct to talk to Indiana.

We get there at the same time as she does so head into the rooms, Elena talks to the children to keep them busy while Kate and I talk to Indiana. We find out that Wyatt is an electrician and Indiana works for a marketing firm. Wyatt had work today but was meant to start late.
Wyatt has had the same job for 20 years and it liked by most people. Indiana and Wyatt weren't fighting, they were considering having another child soon. Wyatt has his group of friends but there haven't been any arguments that she knows of lately. We finish talking and get all the information that Indiana thought was important before she and the children left.
Elena starts to fill in the murder board with Kate adding some details. The boys should be back soon to share what info they have.

My phone rings and I answer it before seeing that it was Gina. She says urgent meeting in her office as soon as I get there. I end the call and put my phone in my pocket. Kate asks "is everything alright?"
I say "not sure, Gina wants a meeting now apparently it's urgent"
Elena asks "what could that mean?"
I say "I'm not sure, I'll go find out and should be back soon".

I get into Gina's office and sit down in the seat in front of her desk. She says "your new book coming out needs advertising, in organising a three month book tour for you to go on as soon as possible"
I shake my head and say "no it's wasn't agreed to, I can do signings or something close to home but nothing over a day event. I'm staying home with my pregnant wife and family"
She frowns and says "we need this"
I say "no you want this, the books will sell on their own. Either no tour or I will have to start looking for a new publisher"
She says "fine, no tour but could one happen in the future"
I smile and say "maybe in a few years, I want to be will Kate for her pregnancy and help throughout the baby stage"
She frowns and says "fine, I'll just have to organise some book signings"
I nod and leave to go back to the precinct.

I walk over to the team to see what I missed out on. They catch me up with the stuff they found out, they can't find any arguments or problems that Wyatt had. We find no issues with Indiana either so we start looking into other places for any leads. We get to the end of the day with nothing new so we head home for the day to start fresh tomorrow.

We get home and I start cooking dinner for Kate, Elena, mother, and Lex. Kate starts to set the table and Elena comes over to me. She asks "do you need any help?"

I shake my head and say "no thanks, I've got it under control"

She nods and looks at Kate before asking "what happened with Gina?"

I smile and say "it's fine, I managed to get her to cancel the book tour she planned"

Kate overheard part of the sentence and frowns before asking "your leaving"
Before I can start talking she starts crying and sniffles out "you promised you would be here for me"
I hug her and say "I will be, I made Gina promise no overnight trips or book tours for a few years"
She looks up at me and says "you promise"
I nod and say "definitely I'm not going to leave you or this baby"
She smiles and lets me go after a moment before sitting down. As I finish cooking the food I explain fully what happened at the meeting.

We get to work and start looking at Wyatt and his family again for leads. We don't notice anything but Ryan picks up something with Tyler though. Tyler has an ex-boyfriend with a record of assault with a weapon and getting in a fight.
Ryan and Espo brought him into interrogation and found out he didn't know about Tyler's job and only ever saw Wyatt around. They got into an argument and he took it to far and stabbed Wyatt before running away. Espo sends him to booking while we finish up on paperwork.

Sorry for the long wait, been so busy lately and haven't got the chance to write. Hope it's an alright chapter. Will try to get some more in soon it depends on uni and other commitments I have to when I have time.
