Homura and Nagisa were on their daily hunting routine. They both held their soul gems out, waiting for a reaction.
"We shall walk around, there's no reaction coming from here." stated Homura.
"Homura-chan! I sense a witch!" announced the magical girl junior.
"Where?"
"Near the shopping district! Now! Let's go!"
The duo run to the shopping center. They look around for places that seem sketchy. "Homura! The arts and crafts place!"
"Got it."
They run into an alley, transform, and run back out, into the witch's barrier. Homura sensed a human within the wards.
Momoe-san! I sense a human! Go find them while I attack the witch!
Okay, Homurachan! I think I see them!Nagisa jumps into the air, and lands on a separated checkered surface of the labyrinth. She looks up at the human, whose hair was in pigtails, and had a distinct pink color in her hair. Nagisa face was filled with determination as she jumped higher than usual. The human was luckily saved, if Nagisa hadn't saved them in time, the body would've been separated within the ever changing labyrinth.
I got her, Homurachan!
Good.
After minutes of wandering around the labyrinth, the girls finally found a five-meter door that leads to the witch's arena. Homura turns the golden doorknob about 80° to the left. The door flashed a white light, then reverted back to the mundane lighting.
The arena was surrounded by red paper-like chairs, and paper people started clapping as the two girls were looking around for the witch. They spotted the witch on a large paper-like cushion near the so-called exit. The witch's head was round and flabby like dried blob fish skin. The torso was like wooden jigsaw pieces placed together, but can fall apart any minute.
I'll go for the torso while you go for the head, got that, Momoe-san?
Yep. Nagisa replied telepathically.
Nagisa laid the unconscious girl's body on the sandy ground.
They both sprung into the air, Homura pulled out a pistol, while Nagisa summoned her rounded trumpet.
Nagisa blew into the mouthpiece, emitting a high-pitched sound from the trumpet. Bubbles flew towards the witch's head, popping and making the witch give out a loud cry. The bubbles left acid holes in the witch's head, but that didn't stop her from sending her familiars. The familiars looked like cardboard humans dressed in the 50's style. One of the cardboard humans held a vanilla milkshake, they drank out of it, then they spat the milkshake at Homura's left arm.
"Tch!"
Homura raised her pistol and stopped time. The milkshake was burning her skin, slowly and painfully. Homura placed her right arm on her left, then she raised her right hand to see how bad it was. The milkshake left a burnt area on her arm.
Homura ignored it, shot the witch at the face multiple times, threw the pistol (because it was out of ammo), then pulled out a rifle. She shot the witch with the rifle, paused, then let time do its work.
All the bullets launched into the witch's body, and left holes in it. The witch toppled to the arena floor, and as it hit the floor, it shattered like a delicate glass rose.
The ward slowly dissapeared as Homura and Nagisa approached the grief seed. Homura held the grief seed, examined its pattern, then held it to her side.
"Hold out your soul gem, Momoe-san." demanded Homura.
Nagisa held out her lilac soul gem, it was darker, like the color concord. Homura looked at her soul gem. It was the color of iris, but now it looked mauve.
"I have a spare grief seed, here." Homura threw a grief seed from a witch called Patrica.
"Thanks."
"Momoe-san, there will be a powerful witch approaching Mitakihara City within four days. Prepare yourself, and make sure that you tell the other magical girls."
Homura wanted to get the other magical girls ready, so they can fight alongside Homura, and defeat the witch.
4 days left.
