PROPOSAL TIME!!!!!

You gave him an innocent grin and sat up, waiting for him to do the same.
"Go on then. What is it?" John sucked in a deep breath before beginning.

"Y/N, I've known you for some time now. What feels like ages. Your are the most amazing person I've ever met and I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend/girlfriend. We've had our ups and downs but we have managed to struggle through them all. Which is why, I was wondering-well um...will you marry me?"

Your smile widened and gave him a quick kiss.
"Of course I will." He chuckled as he slid the engagement ring onto your finger.
"Thank god, this cost a fortune and I can't be bothered to return it." You gave him a friendly punch on the arm and rolled your eyes.
"Wow, I can feel the love."

Jim:
Your boyfriend asked you into his office during the early hours of the morning. Cautiously, you knocked and waited for an answer.
"Come in." Said the familiar Irish accent you knew so well. You smiled to yourself as you strolled in and took a seat opposite Jim.

"Y/N, I've got something to ask you and-" before he could continue however, the phone rang violently. Jim sighed heavily but picked it up all the same.
"Yes?" He asked, his tone dripping with venom. You could just about hear the crackling sound of Sebastian on the other end of the line.

"I'm sorry Boss but something as come up. Can you come over and check it out?" Jim pinched the bridge of his nose between his finger and thumb and groaned in frustration.
"Is it important?"
"I wouldn't have called you if it wasn't." Came the cheeky reply. Jim stood and up and shot you an apologetic look but you just shrugged and smiled.

"Okay fine, I'm coming over. But if this isn't worth my time I'll turning you into shoes. Got that?" You shuddered. Even though you knew Moriarty would (probably) never hurt you, the effect he could have on a person was incredible.
"Yes sir." The line went dead as Jim hung up. He gave you a quick kiss on the top of your head and smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry about this, hopefully it won't take too long." You shook your head and motioned for him to leave.
"No worries it's fine, I'll wait here for you." He smirked at you once more before he was gone. This gave you the perfect opportunity to snoop around.

Ordinarily you'd never do something like this, but you were curious as to what he kept in his office. As you began your search you found the ordinary things such as documents, stationary, notebooks etc. Nothing very exciting. There were a few files in one of his drawers on his closet employees. You read over yours with care, not wanting to think about how he had found half of the stuff out.

The drawer above the one you were looking through was open slightly so you pulled it open further and glanced inside. Photos, official looking print outs but nothing very interesting so you closed it again. Or at least, you tried to. You realised that the drawer was open because something had wedged it at the back, rendering it unable to shut.

With caution, you groped around until your hand struck upon something that felt cube shaped. You pulled up and out from behind the drawer, now able to get a proper look at it. You realised at once what it was and dropped it in surprise. Carefully, you picked it back up from the floor and gazed at it in wonder. Scared that if you opened it you'd wake up and it would turn out to be a dream, you lifted up the lid millimetre by millimetre. It was as you thought. A small ring was nestled inside.

Right on cue, the door opened and Jim walked in, glancing around the room until his eyes finally came to rest on you holding the box in your hand. He scratched his head awkwardly and coughed loudly to break the silence.
"Um...this wasn't quite how I'd planned for this to go-" without any warning you leapt at him, hugging tightly until the breath was pretty much knocked out of him.
