It was just one of those days. Even the sky knew it.

Taylor's thoughts were as gray as the clouds overhead, their thick folds sewn shut against any glimpses of blue. With a resigned sigh, she trudged up the sidewalk and pulled open the heavy wooden door.

The sound of names and the aroma of coffee greeted her as she fell into line. The row of people inching towards the counter reminded her of a chain gang. 抖阴社区rs sat in back corners, open screens before them, words trapped in their minds. Groups of twittering girls huddled close together, lowered voices speaking of scandal.

Taylor plopped into a chair after placing her order, resting her head on her hand.

"Taylor!" the barista called.

As she pushed herself out of her chair, a tall, dark haired guy raised his head from his phone. She stepped up to the counter at the same moment he did. Their hands reached for the same cup, then stopped. He looked at her.

"Sorry, I believe this is mine," he said.

Taylor made a face.

"Nope, pretty sure they said 'Taylor' and that's me."

He smiled.

"I'm Taylor," he said.

Taylor looked at the barista.

"What drink is this?" she asked, not hiding her annoyance.

"Straight black."

Taylor turned to him and smirked, reaching for the cup.

"My drink," she said.

"Mine as well," he said.

Taylor took in a frustrated breath and let it out. She made a flippant gesture.

"Fine, take the drink."

She stalked back to her seat. A second later the guy stood before her, offering her the cup.

"It looks like you could use this more than I could," he said.

Taylor didn't look at him.

"Keep it."

He slid into the chair opposite her. Taylor still didn't look, scowling at the table instead.

"Pissed at the world or just the day?" he asked.

"At this moment, it would be the male population as a whole."

"Ah. Then as a member of said population, I apologize."

He slid the cup over to her. Taylor looked at him then, a smile hiding at the corner of his mouth. Her eyes darted to the cup but she didn't take it.

"Well, it's the first right move the male population has made in awhile, but you can still keep the drink."

Instead of taking the cup, he stretched out his hand.

"I would ask what your name is, but that seems a little redundant. How about a last name?"

Taylor eyed him warily. Her look must have been disheartening, because he retracted his hand.

"I'm Hunt." He raised his eyebrows expectantly.

Taylor paused, then replied.

"Mackenzie."

Hunt gave her a warm smile.

"It's nice to meet you, Mackenzie."

Taylor nodded blandly.

"Is this just something you do," she said, "wait around in coffee shops until someone calls out 'Taylor'?"
