My Silver Lining - First Aid Kit
The next morning, Ehren, Bam, and Juliet were all passed out in the living room, Bam on the unoccupied couch and Ehren on the floor. The three were aware that they were going to wake up with the most shocking hangovers, so they prevented themselves from opening their eyes as long as possible.
"Wake up, fucktards!" Ryan stormed into the door, clapping cymbals together with the beat of his feet and making his way to the centre of the room, the three jumping up immediately as yelling.
"Fuckin' hell!-"
"-Make it stop!-"
"-Jesus Christ, man. Cut it out." Juliet finished as they removed their hands from their sensitive ears, Johnny following Ryan to the middle of the small group, laughing along with Ryan.
"Buncha lightweights." Ryan rolled his eyes and folded his arms, Johnny tutting and shaking his head mockingly at the three.
"Shame on you for drinking too much." He pointed at them individually, Juliet narrowing her eyes at him as he shrugged his shoulders at her, smirked, and threw her his classic wink, Juliet unable to contain her little grin.
"Anyways, Ehren, I'm gonna drive you home so you can get into bed and rest. Bam, you can stay there. Same with you, JJ." Ryan helped up an unconscious looking Ehren, wrapping his arm around his shoulder and slowly easing him out of the room and out of sight. Johnny disappeared for a couple of minutes before coming back with a small tray of things in one hand, and two big items in the other. He began to hand out the things to Bam and Juliet, who were looking at him confusedly.
"Ice cold water, pills, flannel, and a sick bucket." He placed them beside Bam and Juliet, who thanked him gratefully.
Juliet sat up and was about to swing her legs around so she could stand up fully, Johnny pausing her.
"Woah woah woah, where you goin'?" He held out his hands as if he had a force emitting from his finger tips that would hold her down.
"I just wanna brush my teeth-" She went to move again, Johnny preventing her from doing so by placing his hands on her shoulders.
"Stop, I'll go get your toothbrush and stuff; you ain't movin' from the couch until you've recovered." He ran out of the door and up to the bathroom, grabbing all the necessary things.
Bam was smirking at her, watching her discreetly smile as Johnny was heard running around upstairs.
"What?" She smiled wider when she noticed Bam. He just raised his brows.
"What?" She asked again with a slight chuckle, Bam nodding his head towards the ceiling.
"He's really takin' care of you." Bam was happy for Juliet, even though she just thought it was a "friend" thing going on between Johnny and herself.
"I know, he's so kind." She stated, her eyes drifting off infront of her again, Bam nodding his head in agreement. He sighed, knowing that she had no clue at what he was hinting at.
Johnny came back down and gave her all the equipment she needed to brush her teeth, which she did straight away. Johnny took away the items and washed them, putting them back in their original spots.
Johnny looked after them both for the entire morning, along with Ryan, who came back not long after Juliet had brushed her teeth.
Bam and Juliet remained on the couches, Ryan laying side ways on the floor with his elbow propping himself up. Johnny sat on the footrest, his elbows resting on his knees and his hands together. The footrest was beside the TV in the corner of the room.
There was a long discussion about the night before, Johnny shaking his head discreetly at whoever began to mention Steve-O, however it didn't work with Bam, as he had his eyes closed.
"What happened to Steve-O anyways?" Bam punched the bridge of his nose with his fingers, Ryan and Johnny glancing awkwardly at one another, not knowing what to say. Ryan suddenly clapped his hands and pointed at Bam, making him and Juliet jump.
"Oh, that reminds me! What's goin' on with you and Steve-O?" Ryan thought of the first thing that came to his head, Johnny almost unnoticeably deflating his tight posture in relief. Juliet furrowed her brows and turned her head to him, before slowly opening her tired eyes.
"What are you talking about?" She questioned, genuinely confused about his inquiry.
"-Oh please-"
"-Cut the crap-"
"-It's so obvious...-"
The boys groaned simultaneously, Juliet glancing between their smug, knowing, faces. She attempted to keep her "confused" act up, before sighing in defeat and resting her head back down again so she was facing the ceiling, closing her eyes.
"Alright, I think he's cute and funny." She refused to open her eyes, her cheeks slightly tinted red.
"Do you wanna be with him?" Johnny asked immediately after in a slight darker tone, as if he didn't really want to know the answer. Ryan and Bam watched him, Johnny staring at the floor in thought. Juliet smiled to herself as she replied.
"Yeah, I think I do." She nibbled her lip, Johnny's head dropping, Ryan and Bam looking sadly at him as he did so.
The rest of the conversation was just about how Steve-O and Juliet were both dropping hints, even though she didn't notice she was doing so, with being flirty and glancing at each other from across the room, etc. And frankly, Johnny hated to listen to it all, however he just wanted to be close to her, so he stayed.
The day was pretty average; it was simply a few hours of recovery for the hungover, a chill day for the sobers, and a nurse training day for Johnny, as he was caring for Juliet as much as humanely possible. All he did was make her basic food, give her drinks, and make sure she was warm enough, and he still loved every second of it.
He knew, regardless of whether her and Steve-O liked each other or not, he would always be there to look after her, as he knew that Steve-O could be unreliable and difficult to handle when he felt like it, and Johnny wanted to protect her from anything that Steve-O could potentially throw her way.
He didn't care if Steve-O didn't want him to be there; he was standing his ground and always going to make sure Juliet was alright.
And a small part of him hoped she would still do the same for him.
