ABBIE'S POV

*a few weeks later*

Today was the day. The suitcases were packed, mine and Luke's room empty. We were getting into the car and everything was dead quiet. Luke was going to a country he'd never been to before without his brothers and his mother and they all didn't want him to leave. I didn't blame them, but we weren't going forever. It was only a month. I seemed extremely selfish but with the boys messed up sleeping patterns and Gina's shifts, we were going to be able to FaceTime and call each other as well.

We drove to the airport listening to music from the radio, no one really talking. The drive seemed much longer than it really was, due to the silence in the vehicle.

"I'm gonna miss you two's annoying ass cringeyness," Beau laughed. I smiled and Luke hit him playfully on the shoulder.

"I'm gonna miss you too Beau. I'm gonna miss you all." I pouted.

"It's only a month okay? We've gone over this, we can FaceTime and go on the phone and text, it's not the end of the world." Gina tried to lighten the mood. Jai was being awfully quiet, so I left Luke and went to talk to him seperately.

"Hey Jye, what's wrong?" I asked.

"I'm gonna miss you Abbie." he shrugged.

"Hey, it's not that long. We can FaceTime every night, you can text me, tweet me, whatever. I'm gonna miss you too." he pulled me in for a hug and I felt him sniff. I squeezed him tightly and let go, smiling warmly at him.

"Okay. Oh wow, it's only a month. Never leave forever Abbie, II'll be a complete and utter wreck." he laughed.

"I won't Jai, promise." I went back to talk to Gina, thanking her for bringing us to the airport and she wished us a nice time.

On the tannoy, our flight got announced so we said our final goodbyes and went to board the plane. I started getting emotional, so Luke put his arm round my waist and we walked together. I had one last look at my family and turned around, ready to go back to my real home.
