Chapter 48

Cassie's POV 

After marking one another, I trusted Noah more with the dagger knowing his had to kill rogues who've stepped into our land for certain reasoning. However, if my father or brothers were here I'd give it to them knowing they've had to kill more than Noah. After giving him the dagger, I went ahead and went to see if the pack members who couldn't fight were in their spots with some fighters before going ahead and joining. 

"Why has it stalled?" I asked out loud to some pack warriors when I saw that all the warriors were in their stances and they all did a shrug. I then nodded at the gesture before joining the pack leaders and the better warriors at the front. 

"What's going on?" I asked the best fighters from our pack. 

"When you were gone, we were notified that we'd have a few hours before they'd come." One said while one of the lookers came back with the word that they were coming. We all rushed into formation before some shifted and some didn't and we started the battle. 

'Let's show them.' I said to Selene who nodded her head. I was able to get the front of their group to chase after me before I spotted a river which I was able to use for my advantage. I went into the middle and waited till the surrounded me. 

"We've got you know." One of the devils said.

"No you don't." I said and used some of my elemental magic to my advantage in going up into the air with my air magic and freezing them into the water by their feet. 

"What the hell?" A few of them said and started tugging before I went back down into the now frozen part of the river. 

"See you later." I said before going and punching all of them unconscious. I then walked off the river and looked to see Liam heading my way giving me a signal to do something about the group behind him. He then went behind me before I decided to start an earthquake in front of me leaving the group of demons in the crack that was created. 

"That's what's up." He said before running off towards our left while I went towards the right. I looked out to see some more supernaturals fighting against the demons as well like vampires and angels. They all seem to took a moment to bow a little before going back to their battles which was strange before I shook that out of my mind and joined them before we started to see a lot of the demons retreat. 

'Selene, what is going on?' I asked. 

'I don't know.' She said before I ordered out to follow them.
