Saved By The Alpha: Book One (Slowly Editing)

/Carson's POV/

When we got to Alex's house he opened the door to make sure I would get in. Then he shut it softly so his parents wouldn't hear him coming home so late. He brought me to his room so I could sleep a little bit.

"So will your parents mind?"

"No they love you C."

His nickname for me was C before we started dating. I wasn't the girl you think Alex would fall for. But I was the one he fell for.

"I bet they do. But every time I'd stay here your mom would give me the stink eye when I walked to the kitchen to get food."

"Come on that was one time. After we got into that huge fight remember?"

Oh I remembered that's one fight between is I'll never forget. I saw Molly Linson flirting with Alex and I thought it was the other way around. I shouldn't have assumed I should've trusted Alex.

"I'm sorry that was just what I saw. Molly is like my enemy now. She's been out to destroy me since the 6th grade."

"Oh come on babe she can't be that bad."

He said laying down on his side. His elbow was pressed into the mattress.

"She is she almost broke us up!"

"I know but she's also liked me since kindergarten."

"I know but I got you first so first come first served."

Alex stared at me for a while.

"I've like you since we were in 2nd grade."

"Why didn't you ask me out before 7th grade then?"

That's right me and Alex have been in an off and on relationship since 7th grade. We're freshmen now.

"I don't know. I didn't have the balls like I do now I guess."

He started laughing. Alex had to have the most contagious laugh because I started laughing too.

"You're so beautiful."

"You're so handsome."

Did I just say that!? I thought to myself.

"I could stay up all night talking to you."

"Same to you."

Replied Alex. It was silent for a while I guess we were both reminiscing through our thoughts.

"Hey uh Alex."

I said breaking the silence.

"Yeah C?"

He asked curiously.

"What would you do if anyone ever tried to take me away from you?"

"I'd beat the living shit out of them. Why do you ask?"

"I don't know I've just had this feeling and I don't know what it is."

"I will always be here to protect you."

He said touching my face with his thumb. I jumped.

"Maybe you should get some rest."

I sat for a while before saying.

"Yeah, okay."

I layed down on his bed. He put his arm around me and held on to me tighter then he ever has. I knew he really cared about me.

/Alex's POV/

When we got to my house I led her in. I shut the door as quietly as I could. Cause I knew if my parents found out I was getting home this late they would kill me. We got into my bedroom and I knew we could finally relax and talk.

"So will your parents be mad?"

"No C they love you."

I knew calling her C would bring back some old memories for both of us. Some that we've tried to keep hidden for reasons.

" I bet they do but everytime I'd stay here your mom would give me the stink eye everytime I went to the kitchen for food."

She laughed a little but I could tell she was hurting just a little too.

"Come on that was after we got into that huge fight remember?"

I was trying to comfort her cause I knew that when she found out what happened tonight she'd never look at me the same again.

"I'm sorry that was just what I saw. Molly is like my enemy now. She's been out to destroy me since the 6th grade."

She saw Molly flirting with me I would never hurt her like that.

"Come one babe she can't be that bad."

I replied knowing I was lying to myself.

"She almost broke us up Alex!"

"Whoa calm down babe!"

I said. She was getting mad I thought she could tell when I was joking.

"I've liked you since 2nd grade."

"Why didn't you ask me out before 7th grade then?"

We've been off and on since 7th grade and now we're freshmen.

"I don't know I guess I never had the balls like I do now."

I laughed and Carson laughed with me. She has the most beautiful smile I've ever seen and the best laugh ever.

"Hey uh Alex."

"Yeah C?"

"What would you do if someone tried to take me from you?"

I didn't know why she was asking this. She seemed scared.

"Well I'd beat the shit out of them. Why do you ask?"

"I don't know I just have this feeling."

She looked down at the blanket.

I touched her face and she jumped.

"Maybe you should get some rest."

She layed over on her side. I layed on mine and held onto her tighter than I ever had. I feared that someone might actually try to take her away. I decided to go to sleep too because I had school tomorrow. But I didn't I thought about how much I loved Carson and what happened tonight wasn't me.

And suddenly I was asleep to.
