Saved By The Alpha: Book One (Slowly Editing)

/Carson's POV/

"That's actually halfway a good idea, love,"

Said Jayden. 

"Alright."

"Ugh, why? Wait what?"

"I'll do it."

Something was off here. He would just let me go. 

"I know what you're doing. But it's not going to work."

"I'm not doing anything."

Even if he was lying I wasn't going to miss a chance to get away from him. 

"I have another door you can get out."

He brought me to the back door. I walked out, before he said:

"We'll see each other again."

I wasn't looking forward to that but he let me go. I had to take my chances to go back to everyone I love. I had been walking for a while, before I stopped in front of the forest from the date I went on with Alex. I stayed there for three minutes before I decided to call someone. I couldn't call Alex because he broke up with me and I couldn't call Damon because I didn't know if what he said about me was true. So I called Zach.

"Hello,"

He answered. I was so happy he answered. I was silent.

"Hello? Carson are you there?"

"Yeah. I need you to come get me, I'm in front of that big forest. Don't tell anyone you're coming to get me."

"Yeah, yeah. I'll be right there."

"Thanks, bye."

I couldn't help but smile. I was going home. I breathed in hard, the pain was coming back. I had to ignore it the best I could. Zach pulled up and I could've cried.

"Carson where are you? Last time I hea-" 

"Hey, Zach I'll explain everything. Just where can we go to talk?"

"My house?"

"Okay."

We headed towards Zach's house. I didn't understand he didn't even hesitate to pick me up.

"We're here."

I didn't even realize we had been at Zach's house already. We walked into his room and talked.

"So what happened?"

"Promise you won't think I'm crazy. Alex believes me now but this is why he broke up with me. He thought I was lying, that's how crazy this is."

"I promise."

"So, uh, I am supposed to be the Luna of a werewolf pack, and when you are supposed to be the Luna you must be mated to someone from that pack. I was mated to Damon. Before Jayden, another werewolf, marked me."

I turned my neck and moved my hair so that he could see.

"Oh god. Why the fuck did he do that?"

"He had to. But if I don't hurry up and go back there to finish the process, I'll be killed."

"Okay, what does it mean to finish the process?"

"I have to have a kid with Jayden."

He took a breath in and let it out. I could tell he was upset but that was the only way Jayden let me go. 

"That's the deal I had to make to be here right now. Then I get to be with whoever I want, I just need to take care of the kid."

"But you know that's not the way it's gonna go Carson. You're gonna let him turn you just so you can be with someone you want to be with!"

"How do you know so much about this!?"

"Cause you used to be mated to me!"

I took a big breath. 

"No."

"Yeah, but I let you go so you could be with Alex. Little did I know the Moon Goddess was gonna mate you to someone else."

"Maybe we can be together,"

I said trying to ease the tension.

"No that's not how it works."

"But if I'm not mated to Jayden anymore, I can be with whoever."

"You can't be with me unless the Moon Goddess let's me have you back." 

"We can take our chances though can't we?"

"I wouldn't. I want to be with you don't get me wrong. But if Damon finds out then we're both done."

I didn't believe Damon would hurt me if I loved someone that much. Then I remembered Alex. And the fact that now I know Zach is a werewolf.

"Well it's good to take our chances. Now how do I meet this moon goddess?"
