Together, we manage to set up one tent and a thick bed in the middle, the rest of our stuff in one corner. We had a hot chocolate and Tibby said she was feeling better so we went up and now we're deciding what to have for dinner.
''Beans on toast that's easy.''
''No toast.''
''Bugger. Soup.''
''No bowls.''
''Crumbs. Salad.''
''No lettuce.''
''Shit. Well. Bacon sandwiches.''
''Uh hang on. Yeah we've got bacon but no butter or ketchup.''
''I don't care, that'll have to do.''
In the end, we make bacon sandwiches, with tomato on the side, bread and jam and then strawberries and yoghurt for dessert.
We eat in silence, the only noise we can hear is the wind in the trees, making them brush and hit against each other.
After eating, I pack things away while Tibby makes our bed comfier and warmer and then we snuggle in, lying next to each other for body heat.
It's only early, but since we're both exhausted, we fall asleep pretty quickly.
Before I fall asleep, I feel Tibby's arms around me and she whispers, ''I love you. You're my rock.''
I smile, happy and I pull her closer, whispering the same words back, because she is my rock and I do love her. Everyone has a best friend they can't live without and she's mine.

My eyes pull themselves open and I blink, hearing the wind pull and hit against our tent, making weird noises.
My heart beats weirdly fast as I sit up, my head hitting the top of the tent. I glance down and I swallow when I notice Tibby missing.
Something's wrong.
I undo the zip and get hit by a blast of freezing cold air. I lean back and pull on my thick jumper and my other jacket, dragging a rug out with me. I pull it over my shoulders as the wind blasts around me. It's early morning, around half five, I judge, by the slight morning sun coming over the mountains.
I call out to Tibby, but I get no replies. I take a few steps and glance at the snow covered ground, noticing faint traces of where she could've gone.
''Tibby!'' I yell, hoping my voice gets carried with the wind.
I hurry, picking up my pace, patting my pocket to make sure I have my phone with me. I clutch it, thanking myself for putting it in there last night.
I follow the faint foot marks, yelling out her name as I ran, my feet numbing thanks to the cold, my legs freezing up to my thigh.
''Tibby! Please, answer me!'' I gulp in the cold air, struggling to breathe. I glance around, trees around me, getting thicker to my right. I search for her, for her ginger hair, for anything.
Then I see her.
Laying on the ground, close to a tree. I run towards her, the snow falling fast and covering my hair in white. I drop down beside her and touch her.
''Still warm,'' I mumble, pulling the rug off my shoulders and putting it over her. I touch her face, her neck, trying to find a pulse.
But there isn't one.
I feel my eyes well up with tears and I feel my heart beating fast but slow at the same time, my breaths coming painfully quick and I pull out my phone, calling an ambulance and telling them the problem.
