(i dont like this one that much)

3 days have gone by since that little meeting with the teacher and in those 3 days Y/n has been at home "sick".

Keith walks into school and over to his friends like he usually does , he looks over at Y/n's locker and doesn't see her again.

"have you guys seen Y/n" he asks his friends

They all shake their heads no. He get the idea to ask her best friend Kelly. If anyone knew where Y/n was it was her.

"kelly" he calls out for her as she walks down the hallway

Kelly was still hurt by what happened a few days ago. She was done with Y/n and Keith.

"have you seen Y/n"

she rolls her eyes

"why do you care so much about her she obviously doesn't care about you" she says spitefully

he clenches his jaw

"look she hasn't been to school in 3 days and were working on something together so if you know tell me please"

She instantly feels bad because she knows what happens when Y/n misses school like this and some of it was her fault.

"No i haven't" she says low

"but i might know shes probably -" she gets cut off

"im probably what" y/n speaks from behind the two

Y/n seemed sort of off her eyes were bloodshot. Kelly hadn't seen her like this in a while.

"i was going to say you were probably at your grandma's because-"

"stop" she cuts her off

"Y/n im sorry , but i care about you and i hate seeing you like this"

Keith stood there confused yet intrigued by this conversation , he wasn't sure if he should walk away or not but he genuinely cared about Y/n's well being so he stayed.

"I forgive you and im sorry to but Kelly im fine" she half smiles

Y/n starts to go in for a hug when Kelly pulls her glasses off revealing her bloodshot eyes. She was clearly high.

"this isn't fine... your staying at my house this weekend okay"

Kelly knew exactly what was going on.

Y/n nods her head and hugs her best friend

"what would i do without you"

kelly shrugs and smiles

"one more thing...Keith was worried about you , ill let you two talk..see you later okay?"

"okay"

"but keith can we talk after school , class is about to start" Y/n says

"for sure" he nods

After their class together Keith had offered Y/n a ride since they had to do homework and talk. They both get into the car and sit in silence for a second.

"Okay ill get right into it so there's a lot going on at home, my dad left us a few years ago and since then my mom just drinks and she has all types of men coming in and out of our house,so i get high to escape it all, i hate it there, i hate the way they stare at me, i hate her , but kelly..... she's been there for me."

i dont know what to say- im so sorry Y/n" keith looks at her

"dont be sorry its not your fault"

"Ive never seen you high at school though so what was up with that if you dont mind me asking" he asks

He didn't want to push it but he wanted to know.

"because as annoying as you are...i lost you and her in the same day and then on top of that i go home and....that guy was there..but thats besides the point. I fucked up my only happiness and i had nowhere else to turn i felt lower than ever and thats why i came to school high this morning"

"well lucky for you my annoying ass will never leave you alone and you know kelly cares alot about you " he playfully pushes her

"good, lets change the subject, now about this homework situation...since when were you a secret smartie" she raises her eyebrows

"since forever.. everyone including you just made the assumption that i had bad grades so i let them think that" he laughs

"hmm...well sorry for that "

"Its cool so you wanna go to my place and then i can drop you at kelly's"

"Yeah that'd be good"
