Reverse the Curse

Chapter 9~ The Reaper

As I followed The Witch down the office hallway I began to think. What kind of villain name is the reaper? What I do has nothing to do with harvesting or crops. I actually cut throats and gather souls.

The sound of a lock clicking filled my ears. I was standing in the doorway of the basement. I followed close behind The Witch, down the creaky stairs,and to a dead end which lay at the bottom.

The dead end was a dusty stone wall covered in cobwebs.

" Umm did you go the wrong way?" I whispered.

All of the sudden two ice cold hands gripped my throat and slammed me against the wall.

" Never question my knowledge!" she demanded.

With that she let me go and I backed away from her. The Witch wove her hand in front of the wall whispering something. Then, the wall disappeared and behind where it should have been were about 100 jail cells.

I followed her down the path in between the cells. She came to one on the right and opened it. Sitting in the cell was a furious Ursula.

"Witch! Why did you lock me in here? I've always been loyal to you!"Ursula demanded.

"Ursula I've been waiting until the right time to test your loyalty. Now is the time."

I watched The Witch wave her hand over Ursula. The black octopus tentacles disappeared, her skin turned a sun-kissed color, and her hair became a dark brown color that was perfectly straight.

"Wow..." I muttered.

"Now you look beautiful. Your mission is to attract Eric to you. I want him to be in love with you. Here he goes by the name of Ethan and you will go by Isabelle." The Witch said with a smile.
