Forgiveness~ Httyd Dagur x reader (Sequel to Betrothed~)

After realizing that you had all left the Dragon Eye back at the Edge, you and your dragons all flew back as fast as you could, finding the huts and base in near destruction. "I feel violated.." Fishlegs muttered as he stared at logs that were scattered everywhere whilst he bandaged up your arm. "This was the last part of Viggo's plan.." You said, surveying the damage. "Lure us away from the Edge with Heather and send the rest of the armada to come here and get the Dragon eye!" "Yes thank you Snotlout I think we all know what it was.." "How did I not see that?!" Hiccup groaned as you looked at him sympathetically, walking after him to check if they'd found it from its hiding place in his chest. 

"Are you sure you hid it there after you got it back from the twins?" Snotlout asked. You turned to him slowly, "What?" "The twins?". So turns out, the Twins had taken the Dragon Eye from Hiccup without asking him. You sighed with relief and also disgust when Tuffnut showed you the Dragon Eye, covered in Boar rind grease. Hiccup walked outside and leaned against the cave. "You ok?" You asked him, going after him. "Yeah..no.." He sighed and turned to you, "(y/n) I'm the one who let it happen..I'm the one who got Windshear and Heather captured! I fell for Viggo's plan! It's all a mess.." Astrid walked up next to you as you gave her a worried look. "You're right, it is a mess..but.." Astrid continued for you. "If there is a mess, we clean it up together." You beamed at Hiccup. "We could get the A team from Berk! Load up as many weapons as we  need and go in there DRAGONS BLAZING!!" Fishlegs exclaimed, you turned to him incredibly shocked. "Gods fishlegs calm down! I've never seen you like this!" You laughed with him. "We're not going anywhere. Nobody is going anywhere, yet anyway. Think about it..we do what we do really well. We're a pretty smart group, we're fast, fearless-" "And we ride flipping dragons!" You added, leaning against Taran (I almost typed Abscon oml crying). "This Viggo, he manipulated us, like we were a bunch of inexperienced little kids! If we want to beat this guy we can't go in there dragons blazing..it could get Heather and Windshear killed.." You looked down as you stiffened, looking at Astrid, who was stood there also looking down. "So you want to leave Viggo and the Dragon Hunters to hunt and kill dragon at will..you want to do nothing?" Astrid asked Hiccup, clearly not very happy about the whole situation. "I want to do the right thing...but its gonna take some thinking.." Hiccup told her as he walked off to his hut. 

"Dagur please..(y/n) wouldn't want you to do this!" Heather pleaded with Dagur as he locked the cage. "You don't KNOW WHAT (Y/N) WOULD WANT!!" He shouted at her in anger. "She...she wouldn't want you to be doing this to dragons Dagur..she wouldn't want you to work with Viggo..I know she wouldn't.." Dagur simply glared at her. For once, not letting his anger take over. He stormed off. He knew she wouldn't want him doing this. But what choice did he have? He wanted revenge on Hiccup...right?

"SNOTLOUT TURN THAT FLAME OFF RIGHT NOW OR SO HELP ME!!" You shrieked at Snotlout from your position above him in the clouds. "You'll do what princess?" He mocked you, causing Taran to charge up his lightning. "Point taken!" He squeaked before arrows fired towards you. "We've been spotted!" Astrid announced before huge flames spiraled into the air. "WHAT THE" Taran spun away from the flames that shot at you. "Maybe we should re group!" Astrid shouted to Hiccup. "No! All of this is just a distraction!" "Hiccup it is fire!! ACTUAL FIRE!!" You screamed at him, motioning to the flames that burst through the atmosphere next to you at the same time. "He doesn't want us to retreat! It only seems that way! He wants us to get through the fire! He wants us to find Heather so his game'll really begin!" "Hiccup if you're right then he has a funny way of showing it!!" Snotlout shouted as Hookfang dodged the swirling blasts of fire. "He doesn't want us to get through! He wants us to go around and attack him from the back!" "That's not what we're doing is it!" "Nope! We're going straight into the fire!!" "WHAT?!" You screeched, pulling Taran away from said fire. "You're going to think I'm crazy-" "Have done for 18 years!" "But the fire from a Typhoomerang is like a tornado, if we fly into the eye of it, it'll be hot but the actual fire wont touch us!" Hiccup explained to you. The twins agreed with him, also saying that they'd done it loads of times. Somehow that didn't make you feel any better about this. One after the other you all went into different Typhoomerang fire tornados. "Oh Thor he wasn't wrong!!" You shouted at Taran, who growled in agreement. You heard one of the Dragon Hunters shouting for a cease fire and sat there smirking at them when the flames stopped. "Hello boys, hows it going~ Taran!" Lightning rained down on the men, who ran in terror from the Skrill above them. "You guys free the Typhoomerangs! I'm gonna find Heather.." Hiccup said, flying off with Toothless as fast as he could. "Be careful!" You shouted as he sped off.

Dagur lead the Dragon Hunter guards and Heather through the underground tunnels, pointing to a side tunnel for them to go down. "This doesn't look right..Viggo said-" Dagur smacked the guards' heads together with a bored look. "Newsflash! I don't care about what Viggo has to say anymore.." Dagur walked up to Heather with his axe. Heather stepped backwards in fright as he got closer, bringing the axe above his head. "Dagur..please..don't!!" She cried before seeing her hand cuffs on the floor. Dagur pointed behind her and she saw Windshear running up to her. "Windshear! I was so worried!" "Heather.." Dagur spoke quietly, taking her by surprise. She turned to him slowly. "If you see (y/n)..tell her I'm sorry. For everything.."

Taran soared through the air as you burst out in hysterical laughter when Snotlout got hit with the paralyzing spray. "We need to get this thing out of here!" Hiccup called to you, "We need to get it back on its food trail!" You said before having a very metallic dragon swoop in front of you. "Heather!!" You shouted, beaming as did Astrid. "We just need to scare him off girl!" She told Windshear as the four of your dragons fired lightning, fire, plasma and spines at the Flightmare. As you watched it fly off into the horizon, you looked at Heather. She looked as if she was going to say something, but put a finger to her lips and took off in the other direction. You almost called out to her had it not been for Hiccup's scream of anger. You exchanged anxious looks with Astrid before landing with the others. 

"Its ok Hiccup..he has no Snowwraith key! Without that, the Dragon eye's useless!" You told him, smiling calmly, trying to comfort him. "And he knows that...so why did he want it so badly..?" You shook your head and walked over to Taran, patting his scales. What had Heather wanted to tell you..? Could it have been about Dagur..? As you stared out to sea with the moon shining over head you felt eyes on you from afar, but chose to ignore it.
