You smiled as you walked back to Sanctuary. Something happened down at the Castle so you had to go make sure everything was okay. I missed the others. I had been gone for just under a week. I smiled when I saw Shaun. I froze when I saw him playing with a knife. I go over and stand behind him. I sigh. I guess he's gotta learn at some point.

"Shaun?" I asked. He jumped and cut his hand. "This is why I don't want you near weapons." I groan and wrap his hand up. "I'll teach you how to us a gun. But you are not allowed to just wave it around, okay?" I asked. He smile widened and he jumped up hugging me, knocking me over. I laugh and he let me go and we both got up.

"Can I have a sniper rifle like MacCready. Oh no a laser musket like Preston." He said excitedly. "No a machine gun like-"

"Lets start on a pistol. If you do well you can have a bigger gun on your birthday." I say. He nodded. I smiled and we walked inside. The others watching us. I go to the trunk I kept most weapons. I pull out a pistol. I hand it to Shaun and smiled. "You know our deal." He nodded and smiled. He hugged me and I sigh. "I'll go find you some armored and them we can go." He nodded and I walked towards my bedroom. Nick sat there and smiled.

"Your back." He smiled and came over and kissed my head.

"Yep but I gotta go out for a while." I sigh. I walked around hima and grabbed some armor for shaun.

"Where are you going now?" He asked.

"To teach Shaun how to shoot. See it he can deal with a couple raiders." I say. He nodded and I sigh. I looked to him. I pull him closer and kiss him softly and quickly pull away. "I'll be back later. Promise." I smiled. He smiled and pulled me closer.

"You better. I missed you." He smiled and kissed my head. I giggled and hugged him tightly. He chuckled and let me go and kissed my noise and I walked out with the armor. I walked over to Shaun who was holding MacCready's gun. Shaun n looked at me and smiled, accidentally pulling the trigger. Like in slow motion Nick wrapped his arms around me and covered me from the bullet. He grunted and I heard yelling.

"Nick? You okay?" I asked.

"Im fine." He said letting me go.

"Im so sorry." Shaun said.

"I think for now kiddo I think you should just stick with the knife." Preston said. I nod in agreement. I look over to MacCready and glared.

"Stop giving him fire arms." I say.

"Sorry. I wont do it again." I sigh and Shaun looked at Nick.

"Don't worry Im fine." I sigh and got Nick and took him into our room.

"Take off your cat and shirt. Lay down on your stomach." I say. Nick chuckled and came over to me. "Nope." I say and push him away. He sat down and just sat there. I sigh and take his coat off. "Do you have to be so difficult?" I asked.

"No. You didn't say please." He said and I hit his arm. I slip his top off and sat behind him. I saw the tear in his "skin" where the bullet went in.

"Does it hurt?" I asked as I pull out some tweezers.

"No. Don't worry." I sigh and put on my pipboy torch. I looked at it closely and dug out the bullet and looked at Nick. I grabbed a needle and some thread and sewed him shut.

"There." I say and he smiled. He kissed me softly and I smiled. He pulled away and I put everything away.

"When do you have to leave again?" He asked.

"I don't. Not until something else happens." I smiled and laid down, Nick joining me.

"You can't help everyone." He said stroking my cheek. I sigh and cuddle into his chest.

"I'm still going to try." I smiled. He chuckled.

"At least you get a break for-"

"General! Another settlement needs help!" I heard Preston yelled.

"A very short break." I sigh. I slowly get up but I was pulled back down.

"Oh no you don't. You only just got back. You need rest. I'll go." He said. I pull him closer and kissed him. He deepened the kiss when there was a pounding on the door.

"General!" I heard Sturges yell. "Preston's looking for you." Nick pulled away and I sigh. He chuckled and got up.

"I'll be back soon." I smiled and he left.
