"They're stuck." She mumbled ,her cheeks puffy ,from tears shed, her eyes timidly ligning with mine .

"Who's stuck?"

"The fishees they're stuck and they can't get out." She said turning her head back to the crates, her pretty hair flowing fluidly with the motion.

Confused I walk up to where she once stood cautiously taking a peak, only to be met by dozens of little fishes just swimming around minding their own business. But back then my mind didn't view it that way ,no what my 6 year old mind saw was scared fishes trapped in jail, confined to a tiny cell stuck with no way out just like I would later realise I was, what my mind immediately thought was. Jail break. So after gasping I turned back to Ashly.

"We won't leave them like this right?" She asked .

Shacking my head "No way fishees are suppose to be free." I said crossing my arms indignantly my decision already set in stone, I puffed out my chest.

"So what do we do"she whimpered.

"We free the fishees" I began to chant, my sudden raise in voice frightening her.

Frowning I'd tried to approach her but she stumbled back with every step I took forward .

When I'd Realised my mistake I stayed put.

"It's okay I won't hurt you, I'm Melody"I said softly

"Ashly."

"I know silly we're In the same class"I stated giggling .

When I started to hear her faint laughter I knew she wasn't scared anymore .

"So what do we do?"

"We free the fishees."

And that was the exact sentence that landed us both in the hospital.

Me with a broken arm and her with a twisted ankle.

To sum it up somehow I had managed to climb onto the cart while coherrsing
Ashly to push it as fast as she could down the corridors while I reach into each crate and deliver those fish to freedom, AKA killing them
by throwing them out of the crates littering each and every corridor

Looking back on it now, probablyyy not the BEST coarse of action.

Now you may ask just how we ended up in the hospital welllĺ, you can blame that on the lack of cart brakes and the fact that my driver. I.e Ashly couldn't nearly reach the handle bars with her hands outstretched let alone see over them .

We were fast approaching the gift shop, and let's just say when we hit ,I knew how it felt to fly.

And ever since that day we had been best friends.

And while I stayed the same.

Ash well she really grew into herself, she became less shy more outgoing and despite what most would think, I have and will never be jealous of that, I'm proud.
