Save Me From Myself

Chat POV

Paris was quiet. The terrifying quiet, not the peaceful kind. Marinette was akumatized into Marionette. I don't even know why she was akumatized. I saw the scene at her house then ran out to fight the akuma. Civilians were coming out onto the streets to see the commotion. Including Alya, Nino, Tom, Sabine, and Snow.

I jumped down from the roof I was standing on and to my friends and Marinette's parents.

"Get back inside. It's too dangerous." I urged them. Mrs. Dupain-Cheng was in tears at the sight of her daughter. Alya wasn't even filming which said a lot about how upset she was.

"But she's my daughter!" Sabine sobbed. 

"I promise I'll get her back safely." I said sincerely, putting my hand on her shoulder. They started to walk inside and I was about to turn around but Snow stopped me.

"Chat." She called out. Her arm was still covered in blood, and she was obviously uncomfortable by it. She took off her necklace and held it out to me. I was confused but I took it from her.

"Go  to the Eiffel Tower, and break it." She demanded. She was serious. But how was this suppose to help. I was confused by this entire situation and I needed someone to tell me the full story.

"What does this-" She interrupted me by saying the same thing.

"Go to the Eiffel Tower and break it. Your Ladybug isn't going to show up. This is the only way to stop the akuma." She winced slightly at her arm but tried not to show it. But what did she mean about Ladybug not showing up?

"What do you mean Ladybug isn't going to show up?" I asked, worried.

"Adrien! You're fighting her! Shut up and go fight!" She screamed at me to go. I ran off. The same thing repeating in my mind, 'She knows who I am. She knows who I am.'

But then I stopped in my tracks, almost falling realizing what she said.

Ladybug is Marinette. Marinette is Ladybug.

Everything was spinning but I had to snap out of it. I had to save Marinette. I had to save Ladybug.

I ran to the Eiffel Tower and when I stood in front, I could see her and it terrified me. She saw I was there and started throwing these shadows that seemed to scream in pain. It hit the ground beside me, leaving a burn in the concrete.

"Okay. I do not want to be hit by that." I said to myself. I looked back up to Marionette, then down at the necklace in my hand.

I threw the necklace on the ground, the diamonds shattering. A wave of pink and red knocked me back fifteen feet. I shook my head to get the ringing out of my ears to see...ghosts?

Then I realized these were some of the spirits of past Ladybugs. They're going to help me. I walked over to them and they bowed in respect.

"Chat Noir, we are her to help you save your love. I am Jie Jie."

My face turned red at what she said but I was focused. I nodded and was about to go to the same level as Marionette, but Jie Jie told me to wait.

"We're waiting for one more." She said.

"Who?" I asked.

"Me." I turn around to see a girl with a red suit with black polka dots, a black mask that seemed to be painted on, a black cloak with almost black hair in a braid peeking out of the hood, knee high black boots, a bow in one hand, and a yo-yo in the other.

"Hello Adrien." She greeted.

"Snow? Is that you?" I asked, shocked and confused. She nodded and walked over to the spirits.

"We're the past Ladybugs," She explained, "and protecting Marinette is my mission. Which also means protecting you." I nodded as to say I understood, even though I really didn't.

"First off, get her off the Eiffel Tower and to the ground." Snow ordered.

I clicked the button on my baton and made it to the same level as Marionette. I was standing behind her which made it easy for me to attack her and hold her until we got to the ground.

She got out of my grasp and kicked me in the stomach. I stumbled back a few feet before regaining my composure.

I pounced back at her which she quickly dodged. She attacked me and tried to get my Miraculous off my finger.

I threw her to the side and her back hit a pole. She fell to the ground and laid there, limp. My heart dropped. For some reason I felt as if I had killed her. I ran to her and turned her over.

As soon as I did, she jumped up and pinned me to the ground. She reached for my miraculous, but something wrapped around her arm pulling her back. Another got her other arm and one got her waist. It was yo yo strings.

The past Ladybugs pulled her down to where she was on the ground. She squirmed and screamed trying to get away.

I kneeled down beside her to look for the akumatized item, and realized she never opened her right fist.

"Chat Noir wait." Snow stopped me from opening up her fist.

"Y-You need to call an ambulance here first. I-It's a pill bottle." She stammered. I was stunned. A pill bottle?

"S-she tried to k-kill herself?" I choked back tears as I saw Snow nod with a sad smile. Standing behind Snow, I saw Alya, Nino, Sabine, and Tom. Tears filled there eyes in fear of losing this girl.

I called an ambulance and waited ten minutes for the ambulance. I opened her fist and stared at the black, empty, pill bottle. I broke it and watched the akuma fly out. Snow pulled her bow back and waited for the butterfly to fly up. She released a red arrow at the butterfly and once the arrow hit the butterfly, everything was fixed. The spirits went away. Snow went back to normal, and her necklace was fixed.

But Marinette wasn't fixed. She was unconscious and didn't know how much time they had to get her help.

Paramedics pushed me out of the way and surrounded her. She was loaded up into the ambulance, Sabine and Tom got in too, and they drive to the hospital.

I stared at Alya, Nino, and Snow not being able to process what was happening. Marinette could...

Alya fell to her knees sobbing. Nino comforted her even though he was crying too. Snow had tears falling down her face too but hid it with her hand.

Fear. That's all I could use to describe this. I couldn't lose Marinette. I couldn't lose Ladybug. I couldn't lose my princess. I could t lose m'lady. I could not lose the one person who made me the happiest.

I know it has been so long since I have updated and I am so sorry! School has been keeping me so busy, I have work and assignments back to back. I stayed up late writing this chapter so I'm very tired and don't feel like writing a full on explanation. I might explain tomorrow on my instagram (Miraculous_maximum15). Just please understand that I'm trying and I will finish this book. Thank y'all so so so very much for the patience. And thank you so so so much for 125K!!!! I didn't think this book would make that.
