🔪Nagisa🎓

"Nagi-chan!"

Tap. Tap. Tap.

"Nagisa-chan!"

Step. Step. Step.

"Na-gi-sa-chan~"

Ignore. Ignore. Ignore.

"Nagisa-kun!"

"What?!" I turned my head to face the pouting strawberry. I gave him an annoyed look, and he frowned more.

"Why are you angry?" He asked me, which made my eyebrow twitch in annoyance. Argh! Where's my composed self?!

"Karma-kun." I called out to him calmly. He perked his head up and grinned like a child waiting for his christmas present. I sighed then turned again to continue walking towards the station. I heard him gasp in surprise but just ignored it.

"Nagisa-kun, wait up!" He yelled before running towards me. I didn't stop, though slowed down for him to catch up.

"What now?" I muttered. I took a glance at him and was quite surprised to see ...guilt?

"U-um..." He stuttered. I just stared at him while he scratched the back of his neck. How cute for a devil. Though I didn't expect what he said next.

"...I'm sorry." Okay, let me process everything. He came to our class yesterday morning, made Koro-sensei back off, teased me with my friends, then he said sorry. That's all.

And my eyes widen in realization.

"W-what?"

He looked at the other direction sharply, obviously annoyed and embarrased. But still, I can't believe it.

The Karma Akabane apologized?

"I know you heard me right. I don't want to repeat it." He mumbled. I blinked several times at first but then grabbed his shirt. I leaned up to him dangerously, inspecting any weird signs or things that'll tell that this human infront of me, is not my best friend.

"Who are you? Give Karma back or I swear you'll regret it." I said in a low voice while eyeing this man infront of me. He blinked a few time before looking away, and then I saw a bit shade of pink again on his cheek.  I was about to say something but then he cutted me off when he looked at me again.

"Nagisa-kun, please stop being aggressive while we're in an open space. Other people might think different~" He smirked, which made me wide-eyed and step back immediately.

"I'm sorry..." I blurted as I looked away. He just patted my head while smiling teasingly, and I kinda hate it.

"Nah, it's fine Nagisa-kun. And also, it's still me. What are you talking about?" He gave a confused expression as we started walking again towards the station.

"Well...you know. Back on the times we're still...I mean the time we're together back then, you're not the type to apologize." I answered honestly, which is true, because I answered it honestly.

"Hmm...yeah. I guess so. But earlier when I saw you got angry I kinda felt...bad. Knowing that I just made my best friend that I left long ago mad. And also..." he trailed off without stopping, but only looked down on the ground. I glanced at him, and since he's taller, I can clearly see the sadness on his face.

Oh...it's about that.

"I understand you." He looked up at me, a look of surprise evident on his face when I suddenly blurted. I smiled at him, gently and warmly.

"I understand the reason why you did that. Why you distanced yourself." I continued. I'm being honest. I'm answering truthfully.

"I know why you stopped hanging out with me, and everybody." I wasn't lying. I know it. I know why.

"And don't worry, I'm not upset or anything." I said as I smiled.

Maybe I lied a little on that.

"Oh, I see." He gave a forced smile then we continued our walk. Arriving the station, we came a bit late. Late enough to see the doors close and the engine of the train start. Great.

"Hey look! It's Nagisa-san!" My eyes widen when I heard my name mentioned. Furthermore, it's from a boy.

This isn't good.

"Nagisa-san!" I heard footsteps coming closer and I turned to look at its direction. There I saw two of my old classmate when I was still in Class-2B.

"O-oh...hey." I weakly waved and gave a small smile, earning a little chuckle from the two.

"Shy as always, aren't we?" Atsushi-kun, the light brown haired boy, teased. I only gave a nervous laugh as a reply, not knowing what to say.

"W-well..."

"Nah, don't worry!" Sei-kun, the black haired one, looked around first then patted my back. "There's no other 'main' students here than us."

I looked up at them, just to meet soft gazes on me and warm smiles. I smiled back at them and laughed a little. Not long after we all laughed. Probably crazy for laughing at nothing in particular.

"So, Nagisa-san. It's been long, how's it going?" Sei-kun asked with a goofy grin. I just giggled a little before answering.

"It's a bit tough, actually. Being in the last section and all...how about yours?" I trailed at the mid sentence. They just shrugged and Atsushi-kun sighed then scratch his head.

"Teach here, teach that. Ugh, it's annoying!"

"Haha, it can't be that bad." I said. Sei-kun shrugged again.

"It won't be if the teachers weren't boring. And also the way they...you know, criticize Class E makes me angry. They don't even know what they're talking about but then they act like they're oh-so-great." He conplained and I smiled a bit. These two were--and still are my friends back in 1st year until now. They're not like the others who look down on other people, and I'm thankful for that because they didn't judge me when I 'fell'. They still supported me, though I asked them to not be involved with me when there are other main students. Just for their safety.

"It's been a while, Nagisa-kun. Wanna hang out on kara---" Sei-kun was suddenly cutted off when a hand slumped over my shoulder, making me jolt up in sudden contact.

"I'm sorry, but Nagisa-kun is currently with me. I have to say that please back off." Oh no. The growl I heard beside me reminded me that I still have Karma-kun with me.

I became used to the time I am not with him.

"Oh, uh...Karma. Didn't see you there, haha.." Sei-kun laughed awkwardly, along with Atsushi-kun. I only gave them a look and they understood it.

Immediately.

"O-Oh yeah! Curse you Sei for not remembering we have a long test tomorrow. We don't have time for karaoke!" Atsushi-kun managed to blurt out and whipered a little at the last sentence. Sei-kun's eyes widened and face-palmed.

"Oh yeah! I forgot! Sorry, Nagisa-kun. Maybe next time. You too Karma!" And they hurriedly ran off, giving me a quick meaningful look only I noticed, and disappeared at the corner. I sighed and perked up when I heard the loud growl of the train.

"Let's go, Karma-kun." I said then walked inside, the redhead smiling as he followed me like a child. The hiss of the train's doors dangerously spread quietly.

Heh. Who am I kidding?

"There won't be next time."

It was the loud growl and dark hiss of the boy I am standing beside with.

And I should know that better.
