Because Of Zeck Valcano

(Your POV)

Zeck Valcano was moving back to England after taking an eight year college course in Scotland.

Zeck Valcano has asked me to come to Scotland and help him move back to England.

Zeck Valcano was paying for my plane ticket and air fare.

Zeck Valcano is a gay man, who also happens to be my best friend from high school.

Now, me trying to hurry up to get on this plane, getting out of the house was rough. Between the last minute packing, the part where I completely lost my plane ticket and then realized it was in my back pocket the whole time, and then being more than ten minutes late, I was kinda stressed.

I had ran like a mad man, and made it just in time when they had called my boarding class. I waited in line, breathing heavily, trying to regain my breath and energy. And that's when my phone begins to ring rapidly from my back pocket.

"Hello?" I ask, wrapping that hand around my phone and the other around the handle of my suitcase.

"Hey, Y/N." It's Zeck.

"Hey, Zeck. I'm about to board, what's up?"

"Uh..." He hesitates and I can already feel the anxiety stirring my stomach from what he has to say. "A bit change of plans... The moving van won't be able to get here till Friday..."

"Friday?"

It's Sunday morning.

~~~
Zeck got the times and dates mixed up. I mean, it's usual for him, but just to be so late in realizing his mistake was bull crap.
So, I didn't get on that plane and booked one for Thursday night instead. This time, I made sure I was early, up and ready to go.
I got to the airport two hours before my flight was supposed to board, so I found a seat alone in a corner and sat down. I didn't want to play on my phone because I'd need it for the plane ride, and my book was at the bottom of my suitcase...
So, I got up and went to the coffee shop inside of the airport. I got my large black coffee, my obvious usual, and began walking back to my seat.
At this point, I'm almost back to my seat and I'm looking down at my receipt. The dude totally charged me an extra two dollars for my drink. So as I'm trying to figure this out, I'm not paying attention whatsoever, and I stupidly walk into a person.
I almost fall back, but this time, I keep my balance and save my coffee before it could fall to the ground and spill all over.
"Hey, nice catch. That... Y/N?!"
I look up, and there he is. The man of hour; Phil. Phil from the video game store, Phil from the coffee shop, and Phil from the shopping centre.
"Phil?!"
This time he's with someone. A slightly taller boy with brown curly hair, wearing all black. "Uh..."
"Sorry for bumping into you." I say to Phil, kinda weirded out that we've met once again.
"Sorry for standing in your way." He jokes, giving me that huge smile.
"We've got to stop meeting like this."
"You're telling me..." Phil agrees. He's clutching his suitcase at his side, wearing a red flannel shirt, black skinny jeans, and big glasses resting on his nose.
There's a moment of silence where Phil's staring into my eyes, and I'm staring into his. We don't say anything, and it doesn't feel awkward. But, then the tall dude in all back nudges Phil in the side with his elbow and sounds a fake cough.
"Ow!" Phil looks back his friend. "Oh, right! Y/N, this is my friend Dan. And Dan is my.... friend? Y/N..."
"Yeah, we've met enough times to be friends." I shrug, smiling, holding my hand out to Dan for a handshake.
Which, thankfully, he accepts. "Hello, Y/N. I've heard a lot about you... Or more of what dumb thing Phil did to you."
That makes me laugh, but I catch Phil glaring at Dan who just winks at him. "Hey, look, the coffee is still standing. So all is good."
(Phil POV)
We made our way to a table and chairs in the airport cafeteria and decided to just talk. I smile at Y/N, looking over at her. "So, where are you headed to?"
"Scotland. My friend is moving back here, he just finished school, so I promised I'd help him move." Y/N explains, not sounded cheerful about this trip whatsoever. "Where are you guys going?"
"Florida." I answer, but before I can explain anymore, Y/N gasps.
"ARE YOU GOING TO UNIVERSAL STUDIOS FOR HARRY POTTER WORLD?!"
I raise at my eyebrows at how excited she got. And then I smile and laugh, shaking my head. "Unfortunately, no. We've got a convention."
"Oh." Y/N smiles. "That'd be fun too, though."
"Sorry, I spaced out, but I heard 'Harry Potter?'" Dan asks, looking between Y/N and I.
For then which Y/N and Dan went on a rant about how the new Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is more like a bad fanfic than an actual book, as Y/N describes it.
I think Y/N and I had a really good time, just talking. At one point, Dan laid his head down and fell asleep. The bad part is, we didn't really notice until about an hour later.
Oops... Sorry, Dan.
"Wait so, you're a video game designer?" I was actually in awe.
"Yeah, kinda. I mean, I don't work alone and/or make up the games. I just bring them to life, I guess." Y/N shrugs.
"That's fricken amazing." I point out, still in complete shock.
Y/N smiles, nodding. "Thank you. I do like it."
"That's probably the most coolest job ever."
"Well, what do you do for a living?" She asks, sitting back in her chair, looking into my eyes.
"I... uh..." How does one explain this? This is always the hardest/weirdest part of meeting new people.
You don't know what they're going to say.
So, I decided to just spit it out. "I'm a youtuber."
Y/N stares at me for a second, probably trying to decide if I'm messing around or not. But I don't say anything else. "Wait... Really?!"
I nod, feeling the blush already on my cheeks deepen. "Yep."
"That's so cool!"
We talked about a lot. I actually had a lot of fun. But then... "Flight 458 to Scotland is now boarding."
Y/N sighs loudly before looking up at me with an apologetic smile. "That's my flight." She stands up and so do I.
"This has been fun, Y/N." I smile back at her.
"Yeah... We should do this more often." She insists.
"Here." I dig out my phone from my pocket and open it before handing it to her. " Put your number in. We can hang out when we get back... If you want."
"Yeah..." Y/N giggles a little, taking the phone. "That would be lovely."
I walked with her until we had to part our separate ways. She handed the lady her boarding pass and looked back me, considering she was the last to board. "Bye, Phil."
I waved, a sad smile on my face. "Bye, Y/N."
She was gone, leaving me star struck.
When I came to my senses I had realized one important thing. I had forgotten a sleeping Dan back in the cafeteria.
