Jacob and I decide to go upstairs, since we aren't much help downstairs. I still can't believe Jasper -
"Nessie, are you okay?" Jacob cuts off my stream of thoughts by asking. "You're looking at me strangely."
"Sorry." I mutter as I blink and look away. "Just thinking."
"About?"
"Jasper" I tell him "and wondering why he left."
He nods. "Me too." He let's out a sigh so I rest my head on his legs and he gently plays with my hair; running his fingers through it.
"Do you think... That it was because of.. " I tap my stomach obviously. It still feels strange knowing I'm carrying another life but good strange.
Jacob frowns.
"Of course not." He reassures me. "It'll be okay."
I nod and gasp as I feel a kick. Jacob looks at me worried but I smile at him.
"Baby kicked."
He smiles and reaches his hand down to put it on my stomach. Then he kisses me softly, my heart melts but he pulls away and I gasp quietly. He chuckles, hearing me.
"I really do take your breath away"
"You really do."
