Twilight | Renesmee And Jacob || Something Good

I was more than surprised to look up and see Seth standing in the doorway.

"Nessie, I'm so sorry... "

I look around the room, asking Edward mentally for some privacy and he leads the others out. Jacobs still outside somewhere.

Seth sits down next to me.

"Don't do this..."

My hands sit on my large stomach.

"Why does no one understand?" I half shout, while crying. "This isn't bad... I'm happy. I've never been so happy"

Seth looks at me.

"Its destroying you Renesmee. Can't you see that?"

"Bella made this, I know I can."

"But what if you don't? Jake won't ever love this baby. You know that, don't you? He hates me now, how could he even try to love it?"

He's right.

"If that happens, then you'll have to take him."

Seth frowns.

"Im not ready for that..."

"You'll have to be."

Jacob swings the door open.

"Seth!" I hear him growl.

"Nessie, I should go." Seth stands up and I nod. Jake looks at him furious.

"Don't call her that! Look what you've done to her Seth! And now she wants your little baby because she's stubborn, just like Bella!"

His words hurt me like someone throwing knives. They miss mostly, but gently skim the surface of my skin. I wince at the image.

Jakes called me stubborn before, but never in this tone. Never this mad. He's never really meant it.

"I'm sorry Jacob. It was one night! We were both crazy!"

One crazy night was all it took, for this. I ruined everything didn't I? But, there's this one good thing. No one else seems to see it as good though.

Jacob growls again, his body shaking.

"Jacob, no!" I shout.

I look back at Seth as he runs out the door and Jacob sighs as he turns to run outside again.

"Please... Don't. I need you Jacob." I beg him.

"I need you too, Renesmee. That's why you can't do this"

I frown and shake my head, sitting up. I wince and then cry out in sudden pain. Carlisle runs in instantly and looks at me.

"Rib... " I whisper as the pain turns to a burning sensation.

He nods and gives me some morphine, I shut my eyes while he mends me.

I hear Jake's whisper of:

"Do it now Carlisle."

It confuses me. I'm only half awake. The other half of me is floating, painless.

"Are you sure?" Carlisle asks.

"Of course I am!" Jacob answers hurriedly.

I open my eyes enough to watch as Carlisle starts to get out his tools and I come to my senses and I scream.

"No!"

I try to sit up but the morphine numbs me and makes my movements slow. I wince as I sit up and look at Jacob.

"No. I said no!"

Rose runs in and snarls at Jacob and Carlisle.

"Get away from her!"

Rose hugs me and I cry into her shoulder. "Its okay Ness. You're safe, and so is the baby."

I nod. That was too close.
