I woke up to my phone's alarm. Dammit, I forgot to turn it off. I heard Kyle groaning a bit, before yawning.
"Morning.." He said hoarsely, rubbing his eyes.
"Morning." I smiled slightly. "How are you doing?"
"I feel like a have a cold. But only one side of my nose's stuffed up.." He sniffed, before reaching for a tissue, and blowing into it, but to no avail.
"Do you still want to come to school?" I asked gently, not wanting make him feel under any kind of pressure. After all, I wasn't like anyone would catch Kyle's 'cold'. It was just what that one dreaded word caused.
He nodded slightly, then it became more firm.
"Yeah."
I smiled, and ran my fingers through his hair, and kissed his nose, before pulling his ushanka over his head full of curly red locks. He smiled back, and leaned into my touch. I grinned back, and passed him the usual green collared shirt, and dark green trousers.
"Thanks." He smiled, and quickly got dressed, while I did the same, wearing my signature pom-pom hat as well.
Once we had had breakfast, and had got our bags together. And as we were about to leave, Sheila reminded Kyle, that the treatment was at the end of lunch time. We thanked her, said our goodbyes, and left with Ike, who quickly scampered off to walk with his friends. Kyle smiled, and held my gloved hand. I smiled, and clutched onto his back, warming it up through his mittens.
"I love you Stan. You know that?" He smiled, coughing slightly at the end.
"Of course I do, and I love you too." I smiled back, and kissed his forehead, and he leant against me as we walked.
"Holy gay shit!" I heard Cartman's sickening voice as we walked towards him, and suprisingly Kenny; who waved at us friendlyly.
Kyle rolled his eyes.
"Shut up Fatass." He growled slightly.
He made an 'ooh' noise, and went back to flirting with Heidi. And I clenched my fist slightly.
"What's wrong Stan?" Kenny muffled from under his parka hood and scarf.
I sighed. "Just something I need to get off my chest.."
"Go ahead. We're listening." Kyle smiled, rubbing circles in my hand.
I took a deep breath.
"Okay, everyone. I have some news." I glanced at Kyle to see if he wanted to say it, but he was more than happy for me to say it. I nodded. "Well...You see..." I could see everyone at the bus stop; which happened to be everyone in our class, getting confused or even impatient.
"Get on with it!" Eric snarled.
"Kyle has cancer!" I blurted out.
Everyone was silent. Even Craig, you couldn't usually give two fucks about anything, was wide eyed, and shocked.
"Are you joking?" Cartman raised an eyebrow.
I felt my hand clench up so much, that I let go out Kyle's hand. He looked a me with a look a didn't recognise. It was a look that looked lost, confused and misplaced. It was that bastard that gave him this look. I gritted my teeth.
"No! I'm not fucking joking!" I yelled at him. "So I hope you're happy, because it's your fault that Kyle has cancer!" I saw his shocked pig-like face look at me in horror.
"What the hell dude?!"
"Don't act like you don't know! I know that you took drugs before you gave your kidney to Kyle. Just so he could suffer?!" I almost screamed, and pushed him. Hard.
He nearly fell back on the road, as a car sped past.
"You could've killed me!" He screamed.
"Well, that would be a relief, seeing as Kyle's going to die because of you!" I spat. Then realised as everyone covered their mouths and gasped, that I had gone to far. I look over to see Kyle, and his bottom was quivering as he bit it. He shook his head slowly, and ran away.
"Kyle, wait!" Kenny called, running after him, only to pushed aside by Eric, into the passing school bus. Giving him a quick end. I sighed, and followed after my boyfriend. I wasn't letting Cartman get near him. Thanks to being in the jock team, I managed to overtake him easily, and caught up to Kyle.
"Kyle! Wait!" I called, trying to cut in front of him.
"Leave me alone..." He sobbed quietly, ran into his yard, and closed the house door with a heart breaking slam. His sobbed plagued my mind as I walked back to the school bus. I sat down beside Wendy, as her seat was the only one free.
"Hi Stan." She smiled.
"Hey.." I replied back quietly.
"Do you want to hang out after school? My parents are away in Quebec, so we can drink our problems away together." She offered cheerfully.
"Sure." I shrugged. What did I have to lose? Kyle won't want me near him for a long time. So I honestly see no point. We both needed some time. And I had no idea how long that would be.
