Again

I spent the whole day with Ant yesterday. We ended up staying at Urban Jungle from about 4-9:00, then we went and grabbed something to eat, then to dad's rec center to watch a movie (but we only caught the end of it), and finally back home. To say that I'm tired is an understatement.

Auntie Dani is doing Gabby's hair and makeup, so Gabby was at my house early as fuck talking about she needed to go get her jewelry for prom tonight. I'm too tired for all of this, but here I am, in jewelry store number 12, hoping she finds something.

"Ugh! I just need a bracelet, how hard can that be?" she complained.

"Extremely, since you wanted to wait last minute." I told her.

"Forget it, I don't even want the stupid bracelet no more." she pouted.

"Good, let's go. I'm tired anyway."

"Maniiii, you're supposed to help me." she whined.

"I am. We've been in 12 different stores, and all you've found were 2 rings & a pair of earrings, if it hasn't been found by now, it's not gonna get found at all."

"I hate it when you're right." she folded her arms, making her way to the exit. Finally!

"You know, it's not too late to get a dress & join us." she said after we pulled out the parking lot.

"I have other plans."

"Eating popcorn, watching Mean Girls and Bridesmaids? Is more fun than going to prom?"

"That does sound like a plan, but they aren't my plans."

She glanced at me with a raised brow. "Does it involve popcorn?"

"No. Chris is taking me on a formal date."

"Aw! You guys are my 4th favorite couple. Where's he taking you?"

"4th? But I don't know, he won't tell me."

"That sucks. But yeah: me & Mel, then my parents, then your parents, then you & Chris."

"Oh wow, and here I was thinking you were #TeamBramani." we laughed.

"I was, but I've been watching you & Chris, not on no creep shit though. Y'all slick act like Relly & Uncle Don, just not as crazy. You & Bray were just flirty best friends."

"CJ said something similar yesterday."

"It's true, y'all forever play fighting & talking shit to each other. You already fought for him." she smirked remembering the Yana situation. "But y'all still be on that lovey dovey shit. Most relationships don't get like that for a while. You & him been like that from jump. Y'all stay on my explore page." she rolled her eyes.

"I guess. But with him, it's different. It's weird, but I feel more free & comfortable with him. Like more than I have with any other guy."

"Even Bray?"

"Yeah. After a while, I started becoming more reserved around Bray, more than likely because I started liking him as more than a friend."

"Yeah, I did notice that too. It's probably for the best y'all didn't pursue anything."

"I believe that too. I actually like being with Chris. I mean, it might seem like we're rushing, but we're not. He doesn't do anything to make me feel uncomfortable & he's patient and understanding, and he doesn't pressure me."

"That shit rare as fuck, especially coming from a guy who doesn't know you all that well."
