I woke up to my alarm clock that I had set earlier in the week to remind me that homecoming was today.
A few days ago Melissa and I went dress shopping, she helped me pick out my homecoming dress, since she already picked out hers the day we went to the mall to get my outfit for Mason and I's date.
I checked the time on my phone to see that it was already 4 pm and the dance started at 6 and I was still in my sweats, on my bed watching old episodes of vampire diaries, if that doesn't show how much I didn't care about that dance, I don't know what will.
My phone began to ring and I immediately answered without looking at the caller ID.
"Hey baby." Mason said.
"Hey, what are you doing?" I asked curiously.
"Getting ready for the dance, how about you?" My face immediately paled and I began to stutter really badly.
"Umm.. I-I." Mason quickly cut my sentence off.
"Angel, why aren't you getting ready?" He asked with a disappointing voice.
Dang it, he caught me..
"I'm sorry, I'll start now." I said with a heavy sigh.
"Okay, I'll see you later love." The call ended, my eyes shifted to the dress hanging on the hanger inside my open closet.
I sighed and began to walk inside the bathroom and took a quick shower.
20minuteslater.....
I finally got out of the shower immediately missing the warmth from the water.
I tugged my wet hair out of the small bun placed on top of my head and brusheditout, deciding that I wanted to part my hair and styled it into a low bun, since I was way to lazy to straighten or curl it.
I picked up the red short dress that Melissa had been begging me to wear all week, dressed my self and added some black heels that had been in the back of my closet for a long time now.
I hurriedly put on some nude eyeshadow on my eyelids, topped with a small wing and added my matte red lipstick on my lips.

I walked downstairs to see my mom sitting comfortably on the couch.
"You look so good!" She's squealed happily.
"Thank you, I'm just waiting for Mason, he should be here any minute now." I mumbled while checking my phone.
"I am so glad he is making you happy." She pauses, "I have never seen this glow on you before." She said with a teary smile.
