"Come on, it will be fun! You and Victoria will get along great, I already know it" Nathan said as he brought me to her dorm room. "Your definition of fun or mine?" I asked. "Clare, you promised" He said and I sighed "I know and I think I regret it already" I said, saying the last part not as loud as the rest. "What?" He asked. "Nothing. I'll make the best of this situation" I said to him, which made him happy. After all I wanted to make him happy and proud, although if he knew everything, he wouldn't be proud of me at all. He would be mad, furious. The throwing up one time at Rachel's party turned into throwing up once a day and was on the best way to develop even further.

"Vic" Nathan said and knocked at the dorm room 221. "It's open" Victoria called. Nathan pushed down the handle and the door opened. Shit!  "Hey" The young and annoying Victoria said. She was definitely younger than me. "Hi" I said maybe a little too cold. "Victoria, this is my girlfriend Clare. Clare this my best friend Victoria" He said. Oh gosh... she was already promoted to best friend. "We are going to have so much fun" Victoria said and pulled me onto her bed and made me sit down. "We'll be fine" Victoria said, but I showed him with my face expression that I wasn't going to be. "I'll check in in two hours" He said and left.

A short time later Victoria and I were just looking at each other, having no idea what to talk about. "So, Nate said you are into photography" I said, at least trying to make conversation. "Yeah, I'm going to show you some of my works" She said and got up. She got a portfolio and handed it to me, sitting down beside me. She told me a little story to every photo in there. I thought it would be best, if I just let her talk. Like this I wouldn't hurt her with my words.

After we were done looking through them, I actually opened up to her a little "What are you dreaming of achieving at Blackwell?" I asked her. "The Vortex Club! I really want to be part of that by Senior year. Make it the elite of Blackwell Academy, you know. We could work together to get into it" She said excited. "I don't think that that Vortex Club is the right place for Clare Price. I'm not one of those peppy princesses. Just look at me, I don't fit in there!" I told her. "You won't know unless you try" She said, but I was sure of my decision. Clare Price will never be part of the Vortex Club, not this one and not the one Victoria is planning to create.

"Trust me Victoria. I'm not the right fit for an elite club like the Vortex you have in your mind" I told her, but of course she didn't let me go. "Nathan wants to be part of that club too" "So what? Just because my boyfriend wants to be part of this club, doesn't mean I have to as well" I told her. "You guys could be the power couple of Blackwell Academy!" She went on. "Yeah, both our names mean destruction. Call the Prescott's if you want your lives destroyed and the Price's when you want it to get fucked up!" I said. "Nathan" Victoria said shocked and I turned around. FUCK!!

"Nathan, you misunderstood me!" I said. "Yeah? My family destroys lives? I am destroying your life?!" He said and rushed off. "Nathan" I called. "Go!!" Victoria yelled and pushed me towards the door. I ran as fast as I could to catch up with Nathan. Luckily he was going down the stairs. "Nathan, let me explain!" I said, not even waiting for an answer "Victoria said we could be a power couple and I joked because our names mean destruction! What you heard was totally out of context!" I told him, hoping he believed me. "I know my family is shit, but I don't need my girlfriend to speak it out loud" He said "I don't need anybody to do that!"

"I'm sorry Nate! I didn't think about if it might hurt you in anyway. I'm guessing my filter is slowly disappearing" I said. "Let's not talk about it anymore. How has it been going with Victoria?" He changed the topic. "Surprisingly good. We talked about photography, well she talked more than I did, then we talked about the Vortex Club and what she wants to do with it" I said. "She told you about that?" He asked, surprised and embarrassed about it. "Blackwell's elite, how can you not want to be part of that" I said.

"I'm not going to do it, if it means I'm losing you" He said and put his hands onto my cheeks. I hoped he couldn't feel the bones. My mind was telling me they were visible again. I had no idea if it was the truth or not.

"I'm not going to stand in the way of that!" I made clear "I'm just not going to try and join. A Price doesn't belong in such a club" I said. "Well, will you come to my game tonight?" He asked. "Right, forgot you're on the football team" "Because I'm not cool like that?" He asked. "No, because you are normal. Nothing like Drew North" I said. "I'm going to take this as a compliment" He said. "It was supposed to be" I said and went a few stairs up again "I'm going to get my bag and the rest of the day belongs to you" I said with a smile. "I can live with that" He said. "Jerk" I said with a smile and went back to Victoria's room.

"Did he forgive you?" She immediately asked. "Yeah, he did" I told her, grabbing my bag. "Oh thank god. I could have not live knowing I destroyed the one good thing in Nathan's life" She said. "Because I'm more fucked up than him?" I asked her. "No, because he feels loved around you"
