"Ah! L my love! It good to see you again" you said walking into HQ.

"Hello again (y/n), don't you have work to catch up on?" He said.

"I am a hunter of love only seeking my partner in crime, that's the only work I care about right now"

L had gotten issued to you being so crazy forward with him. You were quite the flamboyant type really. You got crushes easily but nothing was quite as strong as the love you felt for L.

"We have a case to solve (y/n), get to work please" he said.

"Oh my god L, you kill me..."

You wandered over to your computer and began to work. Light slid his chair over to L and tapped his shoulder.

"I think she likes you" he said.

"Gee you think?" L replied.

"She's making it so obvious, giver her a chance so she'll shut up please"

L looked over at you. You were cute to him, and he loved your smarts, but you were just so... forward. He wasn't used to it.

"I don't know, maybe, maybe not" he said.

Everyone went back to work it was quite silent until you got bored.

"Ugh, how dull is this work. It's all the same...and I had such expectations too" you complained.

"I'm afraid this will be going on for a while until we get the original Kira back" L said.

You jumped over to him and clung to his arm.

"Oh darling I'm so bored! Can't we do something else? Can't we go in a date?" You said.

"This case is risky now, we have to stay sharp you know. We can't leave taskforce"

"Ugh! But L!"

"That's just the way it is (y/n), deal with it!"

You went back to work only to be starring at your screen in boredom again.

"If you don't start getting back to work I'll have to use force on you" he said.

L sighed and rolled his eyes. Although he was used to this, it was still a lot of work to keep you in line. He got up and dragged you out of the room by your arm. He slammed you against a wall and looked you dead in the eye.

"Listen. We need you brain on this case. Not me. There's a time and place to be flirty and now isn't the time. As much as I like you, you need to calm down" he said.

"But our love is too strong for that!" You exclaimed.

"Goddamn it (y/n)..."

Suddenly you felt his lips against yours, making you shut up. It was only for a moment but it felt amazing when he pulled away he let go of your arm and stepped back.

"There, now try to calm down please"

All you could do was nod.
