the amount of people was overwhelming, but soon we said bye to the last fan and started making our way to the cafeteria where may was.
"isn't that her?" ethan asked and pointed at a girl, who was sitting alone at a table, reading a book and holding a coffee cup in her hands.
i excitedly nodded and started walking faster towards the girl, ethan right behind me.
she noticed us before we got to her. she jumped up like a little kid and ran to us, hugging me tightly. i hugged her tightly back as i felt her snowflake skin against mine.
"how was la?" she asked as we were walking over to her table.
"it was great, but it's good to be back." ethan responded as may was putting her book in her backpack and throwing the empty coffee cup to the trash. she nodded and looked at ethan, showing interest in the conversation.
"same here, but i missed you a lot." i said and noticed her cheeks instantly glowing red.
"i missed you too." she said and threw her bag on her shoulder and checked her phone.
"i need to use the restroom really quickly. i'll order a cab for us as well." she smiled and walked away. when she was behind the corner, ethan opened his mouth.
"i can definitely see why you like her."
"what?" i blushed and turned around to face ethan. he laughed.
"you can't hide things from me bro, you obviously like her. have you told her?" he asked, looking behind his shoulder quickly.
i nodded slightly and his face lit up.
"what did she say?"
"she likes me too."
he furrowed his eyebrows.
"how the fuck aren't you two together already?" he ended the sentence with a giggle.
yeah, why weren't we? was she waiting for me to ask her about it? ohmygod i'm such an idiot.
"i guess i haven't asked her yet."
"yeah, this conversation isn't over until we have figured out the perfect way to ask may out." he said with a serious tone.
i laughed and nodded in agreement.
"what are you talking about?" may walked over to us and smiled. i shot ethan a horrified look, then i looked at may, trying to calm myself down.
"nothing." me and ethan say in unison. she giggled.
"okay, well our cab should be here in five minutes. let's go?" we nodded and started walking towards the exit.
our cab was already waiting for us in the line of other cars, our driver leaning carelessly on the car. may stepped to the backseat and i sat next to her, followed by her cheeks blushing and a crooked smile curving on her lips.
ethan went to the passenger seat and told the address of the hospital.
i shot a warm look at may, she immediately returned it.
suddenly her hand locked with mine, as she held it tightly, her fingers were slowly moving up and down against my skin.
when the cab pulled up to the hospital, she stepped out quickly and waved at us when we left, the signature warm smile plastered on her face.
i was so deep in my own thoughts that i didn't notice we had pulled up to our parents' driveway. ethan paid the driver as i took our luggage from the trunk.
just when the cab was around the corner of our street, our parents stormed out of the house, our mom kissing our cheeks and our dad hugging the life out of us.
ethan mumbled something under his breath but chuckled shortly after that. our dad helped us carry the luggage inside as mom asked how our trip went.
mom had set us a dinner on the table, so we all sat down to eat and just talk about what has happened during these weeks.
after the dinner, me and ethan went upstairs to my room.
the air was chilly and my curtains were rolled down. a bit of dust was on my nightstand and the door to my bathroom was slightly open.
"back to our conversation at the airport; how are you going to ask may out?"
