Sherlock Imagines

You get up fom the couch and walk into the kitchen to make tea for the thirteenth time today. Sherlock is still in his mind palace.

As you pull the kettle out, you hear the door open. You hear a groan and footsteps coming into the kitchen. "He's been like that all day," you inform John, filling the kettle with water. "I really need to talk to him. It has to do with the case," John says.

You sigh. "Honestly, I believe that he is overworking himself. I've pretty much figured out how the guy died and who did it. Sherlock just has too much pride to believe me," you say.

John looks at you in awe. "So, how? Who?" He asks, intrigued. "So, the step- brother was the murderer and the guy was killed when he was stabbed with a pen in the back of his thigh. When he was stabbed, he fell foward into the refrigerator and it tumbled on top of him, crushing his ribs and lungs. He was already dead, though, because the pen hit a major artery in his leg," you explain.

John's mouth is agape in shock. "That's why (Y/N) is my girlfriend," Sherlock says, wrapping an arm around your shoulder as you hand him tea. "Wow. How did you figure this out?" John asks.

"I noticed that there was no sign of struggle, leading to the idea that the man was already dead when the fridge fell on top of him. I just had to figure out why there was a pool of blood and what could've caused it. Now, the fridge was taken off the body, so they could take it to the morgue. Whilst they were moving the body onto a gurney, I noticed a darker pool of blood and a big hole in the guy's trousers. What could've caused a hole that size? A bullet? Possibly, but there was no shell casing or gunpowder residue anywhere. A knife or needle couldn't have caused that, and that led to the conclusion that it was something that wouldn't normally be used to kill someone. It would have to be something people would usually carry around with them. Now, what is something that people normally carry around with them that could make a hole that size? A pen. The step- brother had a pen that was unnaturally iron- scented. Although he claimed that it was the metal it was made of that smelled that way, I knew that he was wrong, because metal pens don't smell like iron. My final conclusion is that the step- brother stabbed the guy with a pen," you say.

John swallows, then looks at you, then Sherlock. He looks back and forth between you two. Sherlock is grinning from ear to ear. "By the way, I already texted Greg.," you say nonchalantly. Sherlock pecks your temple. "This is why I love you," he says. You and John spit out the tea. "What?" You and John say simultaneously. Sherlock nods.

"You heard me. I know for a fact that you're not deaf. I said that I love (Y/N)," Sherlock says. You grin and pull Sherlock into a passionate kiss. John turns his head and leaves you and Sherlock to your snogging session.

After you and Sherlock pull away, you finally say, "I love you too, Sherlock."
