Can you keep a secret? (Hidan x reader)

There was a light knocking on my door and not too soon after Konan poked her head around the it. "Hey (Y/n)", she whispers. I groan and roll over so I'm facing her. "Yeah". "Pein wants us all to meet outside the base, I think he wants to see you fight so bring your weapons". I nod and push myself up, watching her disappear. I slept with my headband/belt on so there was no need to get weapons and since I am of the (L/n) clan, I am a weapon. I smirk at the thought of that. Not only am I a weapon, I'm a weapon of mass destruction. The strongest and most powerful, the god of shinobi. I shake away those thoughts and fix my hair before heading out.

The Akatsuki members stood outside the base, waiting for me. I knew they had been waiting because Sasori kept complaining about it. Pein stepped forward and met my gaze. "I would like to see you fight, I have seen you fight without any chakra before but I want to see what you can really do. Just don't kill your opponent, I still need them". You nod and look over at the others. "Who am I fighting?". Pein looks over his members and stops at the blonde. "Deidara". You noticed his heart speed up slightly. You looked at him, his heart beat started to increase more. He walked forward, stopping when he was in front of Pein. "The rules are that you only get one weapon and you aren't allowed to kill each other but you have to fight with the intention to kill". You and Deidara nod.

"What weapon do you think she's gonna choose?", Kisame asks. The others shrug their shoulders. "My guess is a sword or an axe, she used those in her last fight", Itachi says monotonously. ""I wouldn't guess so soon, we've seen her fight once and she didn't even use chakra, we also have no intell on her so we are basically blind", Sasori adds. "Maybe (Y/n)-chan will kiss him!", Tobi suggests. The others give him a 'whatthefuck' look. "Last time (Y/n)-chan fought she kissed the man and he died, do you think she's a witch?", Tobi giggles. "You're an idiot", Sasori says blankly. The group watches as (Y/n) pulls a small tied bag from her belt before taking it off and throwing it aside. "What the fuck is in there?", Hidan asks.

You took a small bag from you belt before taking it off and tossing it aside. "What's in there?", Pein asks.

"Its probably full of shuriken", Kisame says. Itachi shakes his head. "Its too small, it would have to be full of food pills". (Y/n) opens the bag and tips some of the contents into her hand. It was full of... pebbles. "What the fuck is she gonna do with a bag of pebbles?!", Hidan exclaims. (Y/n) sends him a sideways glance and a smirk. A deep voice interrupts him. "Idiot, her clan is hated for a reason, don't underestimate it". "Old man what would you fucking know?". The two stopped as Pein sent them a glare.

I stood there with my bag in hand. The blonde had bags attached to his waist, probably where he keeps his clay. You were told it was his 'art' and that his clay explodes but also has a weakness. Lightning. "Go!", Pein announces. Deidara reaches into his clay bags and his weird hand mouths begin chewing the clay. You just stood there, holding the bag of pebbles.

"Why aren't they fighting?", Kisame asks with raised eyebrows. "She's waiting", Itachi says. "For what?", Hidan interrupts. "For him to infuse the clay with his chakra". Itachi used his sharingan and noticed you were rubbing your index finger and thumb together. He looked closer and noticed two pebbles in between your two fingers. "Very tactical", he whispers. "What is it?", Sasori asks boredly. "She's creating static to make up for her lack of lightning chakra".

Deidara finished with his clay mouths and released a bird that flew straight at you. You got both pebbles and threw them wide of him, deactivating all his clay. The bird flopped to the floor, landing in the dirt. Deidara's eyes widened and his heart sped up. He reached into the bag and gasped. "You ruined all my clay un!", he yelled. You smirked and placed your hand on your hip. "I didn't do anything". Pein stood between the two of you. "This match will resume when Deidara gets more clay and (Y/n), you can't ruin all of it. I want to see you fight, I see that was very tactical but please just fight him". You give him a closed eyed smile and nod. "Of course".

Timeskip

Once Deidara had his clay back the fight started again. Deidara threw his clay birds and I reached into my small bag of pebbles. I pulled out one and infused a little bit of my chakra with it. Then I threw it.

"What's a pebble gonna do?", Sasori asks impatiently. He had been complaining for a while now, the fight had been delayed for five minutes while Deidara changed his clay. Suddenly the small pebble turned into a large boulder splattering the clay birds and nearly killing Deidara. "You could've killed me un!", he yelled at (Y/n). She held her hand over her masked mouth as she giggled. "Don't be ridiculous, my only weapon is a bag of pebbles, what am I gonna do?", she says sarcastically. "Take this seriously, yeah!". (Y/n) pulls down her mask and smirks. "Ok then, get ready".

I always did this. I pulled down my mask so they could see my signature smirk. It usually meant you are going to die but he was lucky I'm not allowed to. Why should I care about death? I've only ever had one person in my life that has had meaning to me and that is my mother. Death to me is like breathing, it just happens naturally. Some might say they feel sorry for me, but why? I feel great, you don't need people if you've never had them. You don't need people if you have yourself, right? I exhale loudly and pull around seven pebbles out, infusing my chakra with them. Then I throw them at him, each one delayed by a second. The first grows into a boulder twice his size and he dodges it... barely. The next nearly knocks him off his feet and the one after grazes his arm. Next he is able to jump off a tree to avoid one and then there was one which I added extra chakra to. It grew very large and Deidara didn't expect it at all. He let out a girly scream before I reduced its size. The once large boulder became a pebble and smack Deidara on the lead leaving a large pink bump. You walked over and offered him your hand. His heart sped up as he took it. "Uh thanks un", he says. You give him a sweet smile. "No problem". You pull you mask up and look over at Pein. "Even though we have only seen a fraction of your skills we know you are powerful, tomorrow you group and another pair will head out on a mission". I nod and we all head back inside.
