So, we all know the wolf hierarchy, right? Alpha is the strongest, Fastest, Smartest wolf. Beta is the 'Second-in-command', ready to take over, should the Alpha die. And the Omega. A bad guy in the pack, violent, dangerous, and looked down upon.
Wrong. All wrong.
I've done some research.
The alpha: the leader of the pack. Doesn't put itself in any risk, yet makes desicions.
Beta: tough, strong, sort of like the alpha's Bodyguards.
Omega: actually known as the "diffuser wolf". Used as a 'scapegoat', gets in between other wolves. Keeps the peace.
The wolves don't move up the ranks. They're given a job suited to their personality. If you see a beta become an alpha, chances are they were never a beta to begin with.
I hope this information is eye-catching, and maybe you'd like to see one of my own stories on here? About wolves, of course.
-My inspiration for my original story was the book 'Lone Wolf' by Jodie Picoult. She's currently one of my favourite authors IRL. After the author of the Hunger Games. I'm obsessed with that book series.
