Sitting at the frivolously large table, Everest continued to tap his foot on the floor, annoyed with the amount of time Orpheus had Orion.

For once there were no silent orders given to him, they were usually constantly there. His hold over Everest was strong and he abused his power as his sire to go inside of his head.

Everest's annoyance was increasing by the second as Mel continuously tapped the side of an empty glass with a piece of silverware. "Enough already," Everest shortly said, not bothering to take his eyes off the staircase. He found it to be more frustrating as she purposefully mimicked his taps.

"What?" Mel said smiling as she tapped slightly harder to make the sounds louder, "I have no idea what you're talking about." Kali giggled directly beside her as Lilith sat in her normal seat, far away from them as she waited for Orpheus to join them, completely ignoring whatever was going on at the table.

"Yeah Everest, chill out," Kali added on, fueling his anger more. Trying to tune them out he readjusted his position in the chair, spreading his legs wider in a weak attempt to relax.

"What's your problem?" Mel finally stopped the tapping to focus on his fidgeting as he continued to readjust himself.

"None of your goddamn business," he spat back, annoyed that he couldn't get up still since he was told to wait here with them, "since when have I ever even indulged in a conversation with you Melania?"

"Never but now seems like a perfect time to start," Kali's eyes switching between the both of them, "what is it about her brother? You, out of all of us, loathe humans the most. So why do you care about this one? She's a hunter who killed me and Emilio." Everest's eyes darted to Melania at her ignorant question, the glare he gave her practically about to set her on fire, "I do not care for her, it is my responsibility to watch over her. Unlike you I follow my orders so why must you still be so incessantly irritating? Just looking at you makes my blood boil."

A newfound smirk on her face, she raised from her chair and lingered over to where he was seated, "is it her brown skin? Her light brown eyes? The way she talks? The way she walks? Or her lusciously curly hair?" Chuckling she dug her fingernails into his shoulders, knowing he was commanded to remain seated and patient; unable to fight back.

Mentally thanking Kali for his information.

"None. It just seems that way considering she's the only being I've encountered that doesn't annoy me as much as others I've met... including my sisters," he hissed at her as she leaned down to his level, gazing at his jawline. "You wouldn't mind if I killed her after she's no longer useful? Or would you try to stop me?" Roughly spinning his chair around to face her she rested both hands on the arms of the chairs. Everest remained impassive and bored as she interrogated him. In an attempt to regain his attention she snatched a fork off the table and shoved it deep into his thigh.

Unmoving he looked up to meet her eyes, "if you feel as though it's necessary, by all means. Just know I follow my orders and I kill whoever stands in my way. That includes you and Kali." He slowly pulled the fork from his flesh, the sound of tearing muscle filled the air and he slammed it onto the table.

Grunting from annoyance she backed away to return to her seat, knowing he'd never admit to his true feelings for the walking blood bag.

"Melania, quick question: if you were killed by her before, what makes you think you can suddenly kill her now?" With an eyebrow raised he knew he struck a nerve as she used her abilities to charge him. Snatching a leg off a chair, she froze in her place as she held the broken piece of wood in the air right above his chest as Orpheus' voice commanded her to halt. "Stop fighting like children," he waved his hand as if he had magic to disperse into the air and make her physically stop. His will was enough to make her genuinely believe she couldn't move. Everest looked behind Mel to see Orion behind Orpheus. She was shakily using both hands to grip the handrail to walk down the stairs. Her entire body looking as if it was unable to function properly like her bones were liquid.
