The Fateful Encounter (Dulse x reader)

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

  After I've taken a shower and got dressed I stepped out of the bathroom to find Dulse gone. He must have left while i was in the shower to get ready for the day. Reaching over and grabbing the brush from the bathroom counter I walked over to my dresser that had a large mirror on it. During the walk across the room I patted Silver on the head who has made itself comfortable in the corner with the blankets. It let out a small noise before lifting its head and watched as I bushed out my hair.

  Silver slowly got up and approached me. I paused my brushing for a moment as Silver now stood next to me. It just simple stared at me for a moment examining each move I made. I wanted to test my luck and I reached out to pat it on the head again but Silver backed up a bit. It looked at me with a look of disapproval and shook its head. I guess Silver still had a few trust issues. At least it approached me, that's something right?

  A knock sounded throughout my room catching my attention. The sudden noise spooking Silver a bit as it jumped slightly and turned towards the door.

  "(Y/n)? Are you there?"

  "Soliera?" I approached the door and opened it to see Soliera in her uniform. She had her helmet on and everything.

  "Phyco has called everyone to the living room, he wishes to talk to everyone in the recon squad" Phyco needs to talk to everybody? But he wants to talk to those in the recon squad so what does that have to with me?

  "Why would I need to go?"

  "Your part of the squad now aren't you?" I stood looking at Soliera. They actually want me part of the squad? When? Soliera only smiled before ruffling my hair like an older sister would. "I'll see you down there" with that she turned and left. Meanwhile I stood there a while longer before snapping out of it processing everything. Okay I guess I'm part of the squad, I'm not unhappy about it it was just a little sudden.

  I turned and entered back into my room leaving my door ajar. I placed my hair brush back and grabbed my Pokeballs. I turned to Silver before leaving the room my (e/c) eyes meeting with gray. Silver tilted its head at me before I motioned for it to come along.

  "Let's go Silver, we won't be able to bond with you always trapped in my room" Silver huffed at me before hesitantly leaving the blankets. Its making it seem like it can careless but it complies to my wishes. Silver walked out the door first and I followed after closing it and jogged down the hall Silver trailing after me.

  Upon entering everyone was already there except for Phyco. I walked over to the couch Dulse was sitting on and sat myself next to him. Dulse offered me a small smile in which I returned. I wonder when we are going to tell the rest of the squad. Silver took its seat beside my legs and just laid down. It certainly wasn't too enthusiastic to be out of the room with me, was it?

  We didn't sit there for too long as Phyco entered into the room twirling his mustache like he always does. He looked around the room before nodding and standing in front of us.

  "Good to see everyone is here, now there's an important matter when need to discuss" Me along with the other perked slightly and started listening into what Phyco was explaining.

  "We can't just sit here any longer, we must take care of Necrozma before it gets loose again. The tower is much weaker and no doubt in my mind Necrozma will be escaping sometime soon." I subconscious clenched my teeth together and balling my hands into fists. I can't say I really hate Necrozma for all that it's done but I just can't stand the idea of others suffering the way I did.

  I didn't even notice that Dulse realized my actions until I felt him grasp my hand lightly squeezing it. I looked up at him to see him giving me a reassuring look. I relaxed slightly and went back to listening in onto the conversation.

  "I have a prediction on where Necrozma may try to go next, if you go there and investigate and gather data then maybe we could get the upper hand"

  "I see, we may even be able to get the people in that time to help us here" Soliera concluded making Phyco nod.

  "But where is the place and who's going to go?" Zossie suddenly pipped up making Phyco stop and think.

  "The place is called Earth and on a patch of small landmasses. The area is called Alola, and to answer your second question I believe it would be best if you and Dulse go. Me and Soliera should stay here and keep an eye on Necrozma" Phyco's answer made everyone nod but I was confused on where I played a part in this. I opened my mouth to ask the question but Phyco was already answering it as if reading my mind.

  "(Y/n) you should go with Dulse and Zossie as well"

  "Huh?"

  "Hold on a second" Dulse tried putting his input in but Phyco stopped him.

  "She's the only one out of all of us that can summon Lunala and ride her to get you guys to your destination. She'll probably be safer with you guys anyway" Phyco explained but Dulse was still hesitant.

  "We don't know what could be there, she can get badly hurt" what? does Dulse think I'm weak??

  "She can get badly hurt here as well, what if Necrozma gets out? She's already tried battling it once only to get her and her Pokemon badly hurt. I believe it's best she goes with you" Phyco has made up his mind and it wasn't being changed. Upon realizing this Dulse slumped defeated.

  Phyco called that the meeting was over and made his way out. One by one everyone started leaving until it was just me and Dulse. Silver was still sleeping.

  I looked at Dulse who seemed to be in thought. I reached over and placed a hand on his shoulder. He snapped out of it before placing his hand on top of mine.

  "Dulse do you think I'm not strong enough to handle myself?" I couldn't stop myself from asking.

  "No that's not it... I know your strong both physically and mentally but I just can't help but worry... I don't know what I'd do if something was to happen to you" my gaze softened as I see the look of confusion, fear, and worry in his eyes. It's apparent he's never experienced anything like this before. I shifted my position using my other hand and cupped his cheek.

  "Hey everything will be alright, there's nothing to worry about." Dulse's eyes met with mine and he leaned against my touch.

  "You're not scared or worried about what's going to happen?" I shook my head at his question.

  "Why would I when I have you by my side?" Dulse's eyes widen before softening. He reaches over and wraps his arms around my waist before pulling me into his lap. He held me close as his rested his chin rested on top of my head. I had my head resting on his chest as I breathed in his scent.

  "Alright... I won't worry about it, I know your strong and if you run into an obstacle you can't overcome on your own I'll be there by your side" I smiled slightly as I gave him a small nod. We ended up laying there for quite a while too relaxed to move and just enjoyed the time we have together before things start getting hectic again.
