The Run And Go//Joshler

Josh's POV

"Hello?" I call into the Black abyss. I hear the distant sound of rain and thunder, something I wasn't very fond of.

It makes me think of Tyler and all the shit we've been through it the past week. I push the thoughts out of my head, sighing loudly in the dark.

"Please?? Someone?"I call out, louder this time. Nothing...

Man it's really bright in here...

Wait what?! my mind is foggy and I don't remember what happened or why I am in a hospital.

"Oh my god." Someone sobs, then I hear footsteps and the door open and close.

"Well shit..." I attempt to say but it comes out as a weak whisper, then I'm coughing violently.

"Hello, josh!" A doctor smiles, "I'm glad to see you awake! I'm your doctor, Dr. McKenna"

I just nod slowly, because well, I'm still confused as fuck.

"You're recovering quite well from the shooting, the only problem being you had a seizure last night." Dr. McKenna says, while checking my notes and such.

Wait, shooting? I look down at my body to notice bandages wrapped around my stomach and chest.

"What happened?" My eyes widen at the hoarse voice that barley sounded like mine.

"You were shot twice, josh. Once through your side, luckily not hitting anything important. And once 5 inches away from your heart. You're very lucky to be alive, actually." The doctor explains, checking the time. "I do believe there are a few people that would like to see you now... do you want me to let them in?"

I nod eagerly, silently praying one of them is Tyler. Dr. McKenna leaves, letting in two people.

"Oh my god josh," Tyler rushes in, pulling up a chair next to my bed. "I am so sorry, I can't believe I let this happen, it should have been me, josh. I hope you can forgive me I got you in this awful mess and I feel so bad. I thought I lost you, and I didn't know what I was gonna do..." he becomes breathless very quickly, "and...and..."

"Tyler, Tyler," I laugh, "calm down, it's okay I'm fine!"

Tyler looks at me, smiling brightly. "And, josh?"

He grabs my hand, somehow smiling larger.

"Yes, ty?" I smile.

"I love you."

I smile larger than I ever have before, "I love you too."
