The clock ticked annoyingly, echoing throughout the silent room. A practically silent drip of water accompanied it. The only thing to break the sickening noise was the phone ringing, which only made everything more ominous.
"Hello?" She answered.
"hello, this is Margret, with..."
She hung up, rolling her eyes. Pointless people, always wasting my time.
she had decided it was time to go. she picked up the phone, dialing the number.
"Hello?"
"Hey, is this Tyler?"
"Yes? May I ask who's calling"
"It's me, Melanie. Listen Tyler I'm about to do something and I need you to know that I loved you. But the love was too strong. I tried to kill josh and I cannot live with that. Goodbye."
She hung up the phone, picking up the bottle of pills. After dumping them into her hand, she shoved them in her mouth.
She took one huge gulp of water to wash them down, as tears stained her cheeks.
"I'm so sorry." She whispered as she laid down and closed her eyes.
"You're forgiven." He said.
