Chapter Twenty One

= MEG'S POV =

"I'm home!" I yell and kicked the door close. Lisa came out first and hugged me by my legs. She went to camp this Sunday so that saved her from the drama going on here.

"Hey," I laugh as I pick her up. "How was camp?" I ask her.

"I sailed on a boat and caught a fish!" She beams, throwing her hands in the air in excitement.

"That's wonderful love! Where's your mommy?" I ask her but she just shrugged. She struggled out of my grip so I put her down. She runs into the living room and I follow her after I put my coat away.

"Meg!" I turned around and saw aunt Cecile folding her sleeves up in a hurry. "There's a mix up at work so I have to work over time. Peter's out too and your dad went somewhere so could you-"

"Yes I could watch the girls tonight. You don't have to ask, aunt Cecile." I tell her, making her chuckle as she slips her shoes on.

"Right, my bad. Is Louis coming over tonight?" She asks. Well she's in a really hurry.

"Probably." I say, biting my lip. I remember that night she caught us in the kitchen. How embarrassing.

She chuckles and pulls her coat on. "You two are, by far, the most adorable couple on the planet."

I chuckle and opened the door for her. She sighed and went out, holding her bag in one hand and a kit in the other. "There's dinner in the microwave!" She yells before I close the door.

Welcome to my typical average night. Lisa was sitting on the sofa while Stella sat on her high rise seat. "Come on, Lis. Let's have dinner." I say, holding my hand out for her which she gladly took.

Dinner consisted of Lisa telling me about her camp experience. I'm guessing she liked it there cause she gave me every detail of it. Even when she found a dead lizard in her cabin which she found 'really cool'. My sister's are freaks I'm not even kidding. Stella just sat there, stuffing mashed potatoes in her mouth until all the space is filled up. She giggled and splatter mashed potatoes all over the table.

"Can we watch TV now?" Lisa asks me as I put Stella down.

"only until 9." I say and they ran off to the sofa.

The only watching you need to do with these girls is when they need food or when they take a shower. Or when Stella's diaper needs changing. Other than that, just play Dora the Explorer on TV for 30 minutes until they fall asleep. I stay with them in the living room, watching Dora the Explorer as well; like I have a choice. I set the alarm on my phone to 9:30PM for when they have to go to bed.

"Right behind you!" Lisa yells at the television. She looks so stressed out with just pointing to Dora where the tree house is.

Dora's stupid anyway. Pity this kids who'll grow up with Dora as their role models. They'll never realize how awesome Dexter's Laboratory is or how annoying rabbits can be because of Bugs Bunny.

Stella giggles and points at her sister like she's silly; cause she is. I just don't have the heart to tell her that her favorite character is actually a dummy.

"Dora's so dumb!" Lisa says, frustrated. She either read my mind or she figured that out on her own. Either way that made me really proud.

"Why so?" I ask her. Stella sits beside me and snatches my phone from my hands. I didn't bother getting it back as I've recalled is useless to exert effort getting your phone back from a two year old.

"She's been there before. Can't she remember?" She complains, squeezing my hand.

I chuckle and pulled her to my lap. "I don't know, love. But come on, would you rather watch something else?" I ask her and she nods immediately. I got up and changed the DVD to Sophia The First instead. God I'm going to have to introduce Tom and Jerry or Bugs Bunny to these kids one day. Or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Yeah those were the good cartoons Em and I used to watch. Em was five and I was freaking 17.
