Jp's POV
I woke up at 6:30 like normal and got ready for school. Only to find out that it was a snow day. I went back downstairs and played some solo matches on fortnite, then wade texted our group chat.
Wade: Guys you wanna meet up normal spot?
Gar: Dads not home. Can't leave.
Pat: I'm not really feeling the best. Sorry
Wade: It's okay pat. Get better soon.
Me: my parents aren't here but I can play on ps4. Fortnite anyone?
Wade: I'm down!
Gar: yeah I'll hop on
Pat: I'm gonna try and get some sleep. Have fun guys
We said bye to pat and got onto party chat. "Damn. We only have three players." Gar mumbled.
"Yeah. Hopefully we get someone who's good" I said laughing
We got on and I read the gamer tag. It read (y/gt) "Does this person have a mic?" Wade asked. We went on game chat to check but it was silent.
We ended up getting a win with this person a decided to add them and see if they wanted to keep playing.
We waited a few for them to join. Wade said that they weren't and right when we were gonna join another game, they joined.
And they had a mic.
"Hey man!" Gar said not even hesitating.
"Hi" a soft quite voice rang through our head sets.
"What's you name?" Wade asked.
"It's y/n"
It was a girl. There weren't many gamers that were females, so we were all in shock.
"Hoi! I'm Gar! and my other two friends who aren't speaking are Jp and Wade."
She laughed a little. "It's nice to meet you guys, your guys are amazing at this game though"
"Please, you carried us the whole way" wade said, leaving me the only one who hasn't spoke yet.
"Come on, it was team work" she said speaking normal now and not a whisper.
"How old are you? If you don't mind me asking." I said. Why was I such an idiot? Why would she tell three strangers how old she was?
"Oh, I'm 17. What about you guys?"
Wow. She actually answered it.
"I'm 17 and so is jp. Wade is 18" Gar said. He was always so quiet at school and never talked. But when he was behind his mic, he never stopped. That's one thing I always loved about him.
"Oh cool. We are all around the same age" she said.
(Time skip)
"Six wins in one day? This has to be the best day ever!" Wade said slightly yelling. Like normal.
"Yeah, I should probably go. It was fun playing with you guys though" y/n said.
I didn't notice but I frowned. I didn't want her to go. Not yet.
"Are you sure? How about one more game?" I asked
Gar and wade laughed at me. She giggled a little too. "I'll text you all later" and with that she left.
"Jp has a crush!" Wade and Gar said laughing.
"Shut up. I do not." I said defensively.
They said whatever and the topic blew away. We played a few more matches winning two and losing five. Then we all said bye and then we left.
(Time skip to night time cuz I can.)
I couldn't sleep. I wanted to hear her voice. I wanted to talk to her. She wasn't like all the other girls at my school she was funny, nice, sweet and knew how to take a joke instead of getting all upset.
I decided to text her it's not like she's going to get mad at me.
Me: Hey
I didn't expect her to respond immediately, but she did.
Y/n: Hey
Me: Sorry if this is weird. Ok we don't really know each other.
Y/n: it really doesn't bother me. Your like one of the nicest guys I've ever met.
Me: really? Thanks. Your like the third girl gamer I've ever met. Lol
Y/n: haha yeah i dont know i just really like gaming.
Me: you should start a YouTube channel!
Y/n: oh no. I could never do that.
Me: oh sure you can. I believe in you!!
Y/n: maybe I will in the future :)
Me: okay :)
