Her bubble made of bubblegum popped as you set foot into the pharmacy with Eddie, his arm had been snapped twice and you and him had been banned from seeing the Losers.
"Hey loser"Greta greeted plainly as she looked at Eddie
"H-H-Hey Greta"Eddie flushed nervously
The poor kid had been crushing on Greta since primary, nervously he stepped up to Greta's father.
"Another refill?"
Eddie nodded.
"Lonely?"Greta asked, seeming to be ignoring you
"Wha?"
"No signatures, here I'll sign it"She smiled picking up a pen
She brought the pen closer to the cast a mischievous glint in her eyes, and then she paused looking at the only name on the cast- yours. She looked up at you, nervously chewing her gum before she neatly, fancily wrote Greta beside your name.
"Here you go Eddie"
"Thank you"He smiled taking the refills for his aspirator
"Hey dad? Can I go downtown with Eddie and (Y/N)?"
"Wha-"
"Huh?"
"Sure kiddo"Her dad smiled, "Shame I didn't hear you were friends before"
Greta smiled to her father, chewing gum in her mouth as she walked out of the store.
"W-Why did you want to go around town with us?"Eddie asked flustered
"No reason"She looked to you
At this point you were sure of it, or sure that it was one of two things, Greta wanted to bash you, or she liked you. Not Eddie. That would but a hole in his pride for sure.
There wasn't much talking and you and Eddie had soon needed to go home, Greta decided to go with you both stopping you as Eddie went inside.
"Hey (Y/N)?"Greta whispered
"What?"You worried
It was dark now, dark enough that no one would see Greta's hand wrapped around yours unless they looked directly at it. Your mind was spilt into feeling flustered and pulling a look of disgust. Greta did mean things- but as she stood in front of she she seemed human, not like Henry Bowers or Patrick Hockesetter who never looked human, Greta looked weak. Sick of trying so hard. Hoping for something that would mean she could change.
"I like you."
"I'm a loser."
"I like you"Greta repeated
You sighed,
"Greta, Beverly"
Greta frowned.
"I'm sorry"
"No! I don't like Beverly, just what you've done"Your face screwed up in disgust
"I'm sorry"
"If the losers forgive you- maybe I like you too"Your cheeks became warm
"I have to get home"Greta smiled goofily
"I do too"you laughed waving as you stepped inside
"I'm not even jealous."Eddie grinned
