Eddie hadn't moved all lunch, the loser club hadn't either, because they knew that if they did he wouldn't show up to class. He'd done it for the past week, he'd even began to show up late or tired, staying up for countless hours the night before.

His eyes, unmoving from the boy across the field, he triumphantly smiled as he talked to one of the girls- his girlfriend. And she smiled back, arm linked through his. They had been dating for only two days, and the losers club had seen the tears on Eddie's face for the same two days.

"Hey Ed's?"Richie's voice asked

But he didn't listen

The bell began to chime, and Richie had grabbed a hold of Eddie's arm to pull him to class. Not that he'd pay attention, even with tests coming up. Next to him sat the new girl, hair tied cutely as she laughed and smiled, her voice sounding as smooth as honey. His girlfriend. She looked to Eddie with a curious gaze.

He nodded. Not that he was listening, but when the white envelope that read his name was handed to him he looked at her confused.

The bell chimed again, Eddies eyes were wide. Wendy smiled sweetly.

"It's our secret okay?"She beamed like the sun, "his next door so-"

But his feet already pounded loudly to meet the boy, he was smiling and talking to his teacher before being instructed to lock up.

"I'm just grabbing my books"(Y/N) smiled

And now you knew as he held your hand softly for a moment before grabbing your book and walking from the class.
