"Talk about what?"

Keith questioned as he stepped foot into the living room where Ashly was sitting. She lifted her head up and looked towards him. Her palms instantly began sweating, her heart began racing and her thoughts were all jumbled up.

"I..."

Was the only thing she could get out. Nothing else would exited out of her mouth. It was in her head, all jumbled up but it just wouldn't come out.

"What is it Ash? Talk to me. Wassup?"

He walked over to the other couch and sat down facing her.

She opened her mouth again looking at him and nothing came out. Nothing but mumbled sobs as she covered her face. Keith walked over to where she was and held her. The closer he held her, the harder she cried. It's not that she didn't want to be with him or that she hated him. It was all of the mixed emotions she was feeling towards him. She wanted to love him, love on him, give him kisses and hugs soon as he came through the door but that sentence alone is a true heartbreaker. It hurts more than hearing that he lied and cheated. She knows that they didn't do anything but it's just the fact that he allowed those words to slip out to her, the woman he wanted a baby by.

"Ashly what's wrong? Talk to me."

She shook her head and got up going to the bathroom.

"Something has to be work Ashly if you're crying this hard. The only time you cried like this was eleventh grade when you find out Andre was cheating. So what's up?"

Ashly cleaned her face and walked over to the couch and grabbed her phone. She began typing some things fast and then a minute later Keith got a message to his phone. He looked down at it and then over at Ashly. He unlocked his phone, went to his messages and began reading it

"Keep our distance for what? What's going on?"

Ashly cleared her throat and began typing again.

"I don't think it'll be good if we keep seeing each other." He read out loud.

"Ashly what is going on?"

Ashly began typing again.

"Please, no more typing. Just tell me face to face."

She exhaled deeply and tossed her phone to the side and looked at him.

"Where is all this coming from?" He asked as they both stared at each other.

Ashly opened her mouth then closed it and shrugged her shoulders.

"From the heart. From my mind. From what I feel. From what was told to me two months, or better yet a year ago."

"What are you tal-"

"Don't do that. Don't do that. Don't do that. Please!"

"I apologize."

Ashly scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"I know..I know what I did and I know it was wrong. And again I apologize, I'm man enough to admit my wrongdoings and apologize for it. I am. And I don't expect you to forget what happened, but I thought-"

"You thought what? You thought all would be forgiven? You thought just because you found Michael and did whatever you did to him we were cool? You thought just because you stayed over for some weeks and we were laughing and enjoying each other's company that we were back cool or together?"
