The Crashing Wave

When Mikayla was in school and was walking down the hall, She ran into Amelia. Amelia said "Hey." Mikayla didn't have much to say to Amelia anymore, She responded "Hey." Amelia said "I want to say something." Mikayla was kind of nervous about this and was debating whether to go upstairs or listen. Mikayla said "What's that?" Amelia said "I'm sorry for what I've been doing to you, I know I say that and just keep doing it, I mean it this time though. I've realized just because I'm having a hard time, Doesn't give me the right to take it out on you. I would really like to be friends again, If we could?" Mikayla said "I forgive you. I don't think I can trust you like I did before all of this happened though, We can be friends, I won't be able to trust you right away though." Amelia said "I understand, I should get back to what I was doing." Mikayla said "Me too, See you later." After they were done having that conversation, Mikayla went back to class. Mikayla said that she forgave Amelia, But it was more like she was working on forgiving Amelia. Mikayla wasn't even sure if she really should forgive Amelia, Amelia did have a history of apologizing and not meaning it. Mikayla did act like friends with her though after that whole conversation. Mikayla was counting down the days until graduation. When it was advisory time, The senior class was talking about what they were going to do for their senior trip. One of the kids had suggested camping and the rest thought that was a good idea. Mikayla wasn't planning on going, She didn't like camping. All the other ideas that they have Mikayla couldn't go, Because it all had to do something with amusement parks. Mikayla can't go on any of the roller coasters at amusement parks, because of her seizures. Most of the class trips, Mikayla sat out on. This time she just doesn't like camping, So she decided she probably won't go. Mason said "I called and we got a reservation for the campsite. Who plans on going?" Mikayla said "I've never really gone camping much, I'm not sure I want to go." Mason said "Camping is really fun, You should go." Mikayla didn't feel she really had any friends in her senior class, So it wasn't going to be that fun to her. Mikayla said "I'll think about it." Mikayla had already made up her mind though, She didn't want to go. All Mikayla wanted to do was get through the rest of the year until graduation and then be done with Knightfall. Although Mikayla was thinking about how weird it would be when she's done, Because she won't have all the same teachers and students around everyday. Mikayla was thinking about how much she was going to miss her friends, Because all of her friends were a grade lower than she was. Mikayla had also already made some friends that she was going to be going to college with though, The college she was going too had a Facebook page that people could meet each other on. All the drama that has been going on for months, She was tired of it and just wanted school to be over already. When she got home, Mikayla went to work on her graduation speech. Although Mikayla already had been ahead on the graduation speech, Since everyone in class was already working on it. In advisory they had decided that they were going to do the camping trip for June 5th. Which was the last day of school for seniors. Instead of going on the camping trip Mikayla decided she'd rather go in for the last day of school to hang with her friends. That wasn't for a few more weeks though. Jacob and Jason were still joking around about locking Mikayla in the attic though after graduation, It was an ongoing joke throughout the school year and Junior year. When it came to the next day, Mikayla was dreading consumer math. Mikayla hated consumer math, She didn't feel the teacher understood her at all. There was this one girl in class that always helped Mikayla when she needed it, Because Mikayla couldn't understand the teacher. In English class they were working on their graduation speeches. Mikayla decided to write each person's name and write something about them under it, because it was less crowded on the paper and easier to see. Mikayla was mostly thanking her friends, Family and the teachers who were actually really helpful during her time at Knightfall. Mikayla didn't really have much to say to the principal or head of the school as far as thank you's, Because she wasn't exactly on the best terms with either of them. Mikayla was told she had to thank the principle in the speech and the head of the school though, So she put something in there. She didn't put much though. After they wrote a little bit of their speeches, They went onto writing thank you cards to their friends and teachers. Mikayla often liked walking around, She finished them quickly. Mikayla would ask to just go and give them to them right away, so she knew that they got to where they should. After Mikayla was done with that, She went up to her friends and said "Hey. How are you guys doing?" Jacob said "I'm doing ok." Jason said "I'm doing good, How about you?" Mikayla said "I'm doing ok, Just can't wait for the day to be over." Jason said "Yeah, Same here." Mikayla said "I really don't want to go to class, I never have anything to do." Jason said "Don't you have any homework you could do during study hall?" Mikayla said "No, Because the teachers never give me homework. The only teachers that ever did was Selena and I don't have her as a teacher for anything now." Jacob said "Is it just you that doesn't get any homework or is it your whole class?" Mikayla said "Just me, The others get homework all the time." Jacob said "That seems unfair." Mikayla said "Well, They just think because I have a lot of anxiety and have trouble understanding it sometimes that I can't do it. So yeah it is unfair." Jason said "Yeah, Well we need to get to class." Mikayla said "Yeah, I'll see you guys later." They all walked off and went to their classes. Mikayla just listened to music in study hall as usual. Jason didn't really like to get involved a lot in the drama, Mikayla understood that but she didn't exactly want to be going through any of that drama either. Mikayla just felt thankful that at least Jacob and Jason were there for her when she needed them. When it came to lunch time, For the first time in a few months the whole group sat together. There was still some tension between Mikayla and Amelia though. Mikayla didn't trust Amelia at all, Amelia just was trying to act like she didn't do anything. Mikayla tried her best to just forget about everything for that lunch time, It wasn't working exactly though. Lunch was fun still though, Because Jason and Jacob were there which is who she mostly talked to the whole time. Chris, Amelia and Mikayla all made a video of lunch for their old music teacher Noah. Mikayla had Noah's phone number, So she just took a video of everyone saying hi and then sent the video through text message. After that lunch was over and they went to class again. Class was pretty stressful and boring for Mikayla, All the drama that had been going on had tired her out. Mikayla knew that half the teachers didn't believe her about anything that was going on, So it was no use to talk to them about it. The music teacher Mason and the old music teacher Noah were the only teachers Mikayla actually talked to about it. Mikayla ate lunch downstairs in the music room with Mason a few times, mainly because she didn't feel like she could sit anywhere without Amelia trying to say something. The head of the school Chace never wanted to help, All he cared about was if someone was talking crap about his school and the money he received. If the front desk person Ellie heard something, she would tell Chace straight away. From what Mikayla saw, She thought they were just like other high schoolers gossiping. Mikayla often got mad seeing this, Because she didn't think it was right for someone who owns the school and someone else who works there to talk about other kids. When Mikayla kept telling them of what Amelia was doing, Most of the teachers started to become rude to her. Which is why, Mikayla went to her music teacher to talk most of the time because she felt that him, her family and friends were the only ones who were trying to help her. When Mikayla was deciding on wether she wanted to leave Knightfall or stay she had started to think about what leaving the friends she had for so long would be like and that's how she decided she wanted to stay. Mikayla knew staying would mean that it was going to be difficult for the rest of the year. Friendship was also a very important thing to Mikayla though, She valued her friendships and Family over everything else. Mikayla was determined to prove that she could graduate from high school and she could get through all the drama. That's exactly what she was doing. When Mikayla got home, she started texting her friend Jason.
