Learning how to be human again

           It was dark. Really dark. With out even the slightest hint of light my eyes were unable to adjust. I turn slowly trying to figure out where I was, due to the lack of light that was quite difficult.

Don't hold it against us

I spun around trying to find the owner of the soft voice. It was so quiet and disembodied that it sounded everywhere. And for some reason it sounded somewhat mechanical. I held back from saying 'hello?' Because that would only give a hint on where I was. And if I can't see them they most likely can't see me. Beside yelling out when you don't know where you are is really stupid.

We don't want to hurt anyone...

'Then don't' I think to myself. I silently cursed myself for being sarcastic in this situation. It's pitch black, how will I get out of here?

We just want to leave

Heavy footsteps started all around me, getting louder. Who ever they belonged to was getting closer. I held my position if they could see me I refused to show any fear.

Please.......

A light lit up beside me. It was yellow. Looking close they looked like illuminated eyes. Then another light behind me. Blue and close to it red. Then another one, purple. I turned in a circle looking at the eye like lights. And back tot he still dark spot in-front of me.
