third persøn all the way thrøugh:
the two boys woke up against the tree the next morning, tyler waking before josh, who had been laying on his chest, stands of purple curls blowing ever so slightly in the so light blue breeze that carried a draft through the air. tyler pulled on the blanket over the two, and looked up in the tree. he saw two figures, a red one and a white one, asleep on one another. he shook his head, believing he was hallucinating.
they were still there.
"t-tyler?" josh asked, his mocha eyes squinting, adjusting to the light of the wood around them, then looking up at tyler. who was purple to the older boy, not himself. off. surprised. pink, purple. the scene of cracked glass, but you can't see it until it shatters.
"yeah josh?" tyler asked, kissing josh's hair and smelling it, it smelt like watermelons, sweetness, with a tang to it. F-Sharp.
"that was the best night of sleep i've ever had." josh stated with a completion full of pink and gold marshmallow, making tyler happy that he was happy, ready to get to the small town they needed to get to before sundown.
"that's a very good thing josh, get in the chair. we need to replace your tank and get on the road again. i think we only have another ten miles or so." tyler explained in a subtly blue tone, josh nodded, getting up and sitting down in the chair, letting tyler change his tank as he held in his breath cold breath that stabbing him every time he breathed, but he never told tyler. it'd only tire him more.
he also never told tyler he wanted to end it all fast, it was too unbearable.
but he'd never tell tyler.
josh sighed as tyler hung the backpack on the chair and started to roll back to the abandoned road they'd been walking on. knowing that he wanted tyler to live on without him when he died. tyler looked up at the two figures in the tree, who were looking down at him. the red one with a smirk, and the white one in pure terror. both showing complete purple in their gazes.
"hey josh?' tyler said, stopping. josh cocked his head back to look up to his younger friend.
"yeah tyler?' he asked, tyler leaned down and kissed him, josh smiled at the act, knowing he'd miss it so.
"can you see those two people in that tree?" he asked, pointing towards castiel and seth, josh looked up where they were supposedly sitting. he squinted, trying to see it, since it was always different when you squint your eyes. not what it was supposed to be. purple instead of yellow. socks instead of shoes. a D-Sharp instead of a D-Natural.
"no, why? are you seeing things again?" josh asked, a little concerned.
"i don't know." tyler said, josh held his friend's hand, looking up to him as tyler locked eyes with castiel's terrifying, green, eyes.
"tyler, is it him?" he asked, tyler shook his head. as did seth and castiel, castiel knowing who he was talking about, seth following her actions in confusion.
"no, different. one's a girl in red with piercing green eyes. the other in white and a boy, with soft blue eyes. they both have wings, the girl's darker than the boy's." he explained, josh sighed, getting up and putting his hands on tyler's shoulder. castiel smirked and chuckled, leaning into seth.
"i don't know if they're real or not tyler, just ignore them for now, okay? we have a mission, a space mission. our major back at ground control needs us to cooperate. keep going on course? got me cadet tyler?" josh explained, tyler pulled him in for a deep kiss, the scent of oranges and the color of sherbet.
