Chapter 18 -
Shafaq's POV -
I opened my eyes at the smell of delicious food and it was the first morning of my married life. Rehaan wasn't in the room and I looked at the time and it was very early. I stepped outside, and I was excited when I saw the dining table, it was filled with delicious food, but I still didn't see Rehaan.
I walked into the kitchen and to my surprise, Rehaan was cooking. He noticed me and kissed my forehead, "Hey, you're awake. Good morning!"
"Good morning!" I smiled at him. He pushed my hair behind my ears, "Go freshen up, then we'll have breakfast."
"But, Rehaan that's my job!"
"No. Not at all. You're my queen and I won't let my queen do any kind of work!" I smiled at him, he was making me feel amazing, I hugged him.
"And you are my king, how could I let you do work!" I kissed his cheeks.
"Okay, let's have breakfast." He whispered in my ears. I was about to move but he picked me up.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"I am going to carry you everywhere!"
"What is this, Rehaan? I'm not a baby!"
"You're my baby!" He murmured into my ears as I encircled my arms around his neck.
He took me to the dining table and sat me in the chair and fed me breakfast.
"Shafaq, I'm worried."
"Why?" I asked, concerned.
"How will I manage to provide you happiness. We can't survive our whole life with your father's money. I don't have a degree, so how will I get a job?"
"Don't worry Rehaan. We'll figure something out together, my college isn't finished yet, we will find a way!"
"Shafaq, but I won't let you struggle for our earnings. I don't have any experience or a degree, how will I get a job?"
"Talent, Rehaan! Every person has some talent inside of them. We just need to find the talent inside of you!"
"No, Shafaq. I am not a normal person, I am a criminal. I don't think there Is any talent in me.""Rehaan, don't say that you're a criminal. It hurts me when you say that, please don't. That was in the past, it's best to forget it."
"Shafaq, my past haunts me. I am afraid of losing this happiness, of losing you!" He said while he caressed my cheeks.
"Don't worry Rehaan, no one and nothing can separate us now!"
Suddenly my phone rang, and I went to pick it up.
"Hello?"
"Hi, is this Shafaq speaking?"
"Yes, who is this?"
"I am calling from a retirement home. I am calling because your friend is in very serious condition and she asked me to call you."
