CHAPTER 7        

 Mikky’s POV

I ran into the woods, still in human form, I didn’t want anyone knowing what my wolf looked like yet, now they know I can actually shift.

I stopped in the middle of a clearing and slumped to the floor as my body racked with sobs. I miss them so much, my parents, maybe if they were here things would have been different, so different.

I heard the snap of a twig; I turned around and growled lowly my wolf was on high alert. A few minutes later Beth walked out from behind a tree, once I saw her I visibly relaxed.

“Hey” Beth said, she took one look at me, walked closer and wrapped her arms around me in a comforting hug, I couldn’t help it but I began crying again. “I’m sorry” I apologized. “its okay” she said and pulled away. We sat down on a fallen tree, both of us quiet and lost in our thoughts.

“Can I see your wolf” she asked, I would really love to show her my wolf. I wanted someone else to admire her, she is a really pretty wolf and also proud of it, since I’m a very rare wolf, but I can’t. I’ve hidden my wolf for a very long time and I just can’t show her now, not yet. I also don’t want anyone from my pack knowing what my wolf looked like.

“I’m sorry but no” I said quietly but I was sure she heard me, “okay, I was just curious” she said. We were quiet again, I caught a whiff of something it smelt really bad and familiar. I concentrated on the scent, it was getting closer, I know what that is.

Rogues

I guess Beth smelt it too, four rogue wolves came out from behind the trees baring their canines at us. A guy came out from behind the wolves, make that five rogues.

“What do we have here guys, two little she wolves” he said and smirked at us. Beth growled at him and smirked right back.

“No, we have five rogues who have probably never heard of a shower” she said. I guess the guy didn’t find what she said funny, cause he started shaking and soon there was a huge brown wolf ready to pounce.

Beth also shifted into her gray wolf, she looked really pretty. He tackled her to the ground, I really wanted to help but I couldn’t. I had to protect my wolf. I noticed a blond wolf crouching next to me getting ready to pounce, with its red crazed eyes you could tell it was going straight for the kill.

There was no way I could save myself without shifting into my wolf, Beth was still fighting with the brown wolf. The wolf finally pounced and I closed my eyes waiting for the impact, but I didn’t feel anything.

I opened my eyes to see a black wolf had tackled it to the ground and bit down on his neck, killing him. Beth had killed the brown wolf and was currently fighting another wolf. The black wolf that had just saved me turned to me, its grey eyes telling me to run.

Wait, not just any grey eyes, Alex. He came to my rescue. More wolves poured out from behind the trees. What the hell is going on? How could they get past patrol and still go undetected. Beth and Alex were killing wolves left and right and also trying to keep them away from me, but I knew they couldn’t last long.

Beth was surrounded by four wolves and she looked tired and was bleeding from the bite on her shoulder. Alex on the other hand was surrounded by six wolves, so there was no way he could help her.

My wolf and I were angry, I didn’t care about anyone seeing my wolf anymore, I had to help my mate and best friend. I felt the familiar cracking of bones and my face stretched into a muzzle, and soon I was on four paws.

I growled loudly and got the attention of all the wolves in the clearing. Some of them cowered in fear, I saw Alex and Beth look at me with their jaws hanging open, but they quickly got over it. Using the rogues’ distraction and attacked.

I helped Beth kill two wolves that were about to attack her, while she took care of the other two. She nodded at me and I went on to help Alex, who was doing fine by himself, but he was completely oblivious to the brown wolf behind him.

I tackled the brown wolf, we fought for a while but I killed him, only earning a bite on my hind leg. Most of the wolves had retreated by now. I have to say I enjoyed doing that, it was fun.

I went behind a tree and shifted, I put on a pair of shorts and a shirt I found in the tree. I stepped out from behind the tree to see Beth and Alex in human form. Alex was putting only a pair of basketball shorts, allowing me to get a good view of his AMAZING abs. I heard Gracie purr in my mind and I could see all her dirty thoughts.

I looked down at my feet not wanting them to see my blush. I looked up to see Alex with a serious expression on his face and Beth who was smiling softly.

“So you’re a white wolf”
