Different |Connor x Oc|Detroit:BecomeHuman|?|

Sighing, I reached for my phone that laid on the small corner table and dialled a number. I didn't know what to do now - Jeffrey told me that I have been offered a job down in Canada to become the leader of the police force- but would I be willing to give up Hank? And Connor? Though, ever since I was young I've always wanted to lead a force. In Canada, especially. The one person I could get advice from - I called.

"Hey, Mia." I said through the phone, exhaustion in my voice. Mia had been my best friend since the beginning - and what I mean by that, I mean since we were toddlers at least.

"Heya, Ally! It's been a while, how's things going in Detroit?" Hearing her calm voice soothed me a little, and I decided to explain everything.

"Um, I'll get to that in a second. But before I do, how's it been in London?"

"It's been awesome! Ever since me and Liam got married everything has been so exciting! I've also got a promotion in retail, and I'm now manager! Maybe me and Liam can finally have our baby!"

She seemed so happy, and I didn't feel like being the one to ruin it by my mood. So, I continued. "How's Laura and Ben, anyway? Are they still fighting?"

"A bit, yeah. But their starting to forgive eachother." Mia said so calmly, murmuring in the background. "So, what was you going to say about you?"

I took a deep breath and said it, "Well I'm doing really good in the Detroit police currently, and I've even got an android-"

"An android? I'm so jealous! They don't really have many here in London. Continue, anyway."

"And, well, Jeffrey -who's the leader- told me that their offering me a job as manager of the force in Canada."

"That's brilliant! Good for you Ally!"

"But, Mia.. I don't know if I want to leave everything behind. Hank has became a good friend to me and Connor, my android, is..."

"Look, haven't you always wanted to get that job in Canada? What are you exactly sacrificing? I mean, come on. Hank is just a partner. Connor is just an android. You can always get a new pair of those."

I sighed. "Well, I've got to go. I'll call you as soon as I can." I ended the call, because I couldn't take it. I asked Mia for advice, so why am I suddenly really angry with her? So many new emotions have been flooding me lately that I don't know what to do anymore.

Instead, I decided to sit myself down onto my couch and stare at the phone, as if I was waiting for someone to call. This was going to be a loooooong night....

The next day seemed to go extremely slow. I got to work as usual, however I was extremely tired from not getting much sleep last night. So many anxious thoughts have been worrying me lately that my whole life seems to be going one second per hour.

"Alyssa!" Connor seemed to of found me by the water fountain, where I was splashing my face with cold water. "What did Jeffrey want to talk to you about yesterday?"

I dried my face with one of the small towels they supplied, and turned myself to Connor, sighing. "Their offering me a job as manager of the force in Canada."

Connor stared at me for a few minutes, blanking out. No real emotion or feeling was shown on his face, which kind of broke my heart. "Well, as an android I can't say I'll remember you forever. But, I do wish you well."

I felt myself tense up. What the fuck? Yeah, maybe I haven't known Connor for that long, but come on. That's a bit messed up. "Right." Was all I said, walking off.

He seemed to stare at me as I walked off, judging by the fact I felt something cold up my spine. I decided to not look back at him; just continue to my office.

"Oi! You're Hank and Alyssa's plastic pet now, ent ya?" I heard Reeds voice from behind me, and as I turned it seemed he was pushing Connor up against a wall. "Would it hurt if I-" He full on punched him round the face, which made me snap.

"Gavin!" I pointed out my gun at Reed, his hands propelling up. "Leave him alone or else I'll make a hole in your ugly damn face."

"Alright, alright." Reed sighed. I placed my pistol back onto the pocket of my hoodie, leaving him speechless. He went back into the coffee room, where I walked forward and helped up Connor.

"You okay, Co-"

He grabbed my wrist and led me over to one of the empty offices. It seemed he stared at me for a few seconds with his chocolate brown eyes before going forward and hugging me.

This hug- it made me feel...nice. My chest against his my arms around his waist. It seemed too good to be true- it's something that I wanted to stay in forever. Warm inside his arms, safe in his clutches. "Connor, I-"

"I'm going to miss you. I only said that because if anyone catches me showing any feeling then they will destroy me."

I looked upto Connor and smiled, "Show every feeling you want. No matter what, I won't let anyone destroy you. Or hurt you in any way."

He beamed back, the smile that I loved. "Please don't go, Alyssa."

"Ally." I breathed in, then back out. "And I won't, I promise."
