Fragile Hearts

An hour had passed, Baekhyun was inside the ICU room along with Yixing. Minseok told him that he'll just go and buy some foods for them to eat.

Yixing was lying his head on the bed as he was holding Baekhyun's cold hand.

Suddenly, the door opened making Yixing to raise his head. He was surprised when he saw a familiar guy, it was Chanyeol.

"What are you doing here?" Yixing asked, but Chanyeol ignored him.

Chanyeol was lost of words when he saw Baekhyun lying down on the bed with an oxygen mask on his face. He slowly walked closer and felt like his heart was being ripped apart while he stares at the sleeping boy.

Yixing stood up and let the taller stood beside Baekhyun.

"What happened to him?" Chanyeol asked while he stares at Baekhyun sleeping peacefully. He must be tired.

"Didn't he told you?" Yixing said but Chanyeol just shook his head.

"Just tell me what happened to him?" Chanyeol asked feeling completely impatient. He wants to know everything.

Yixing heaved a sigh, thinking of how will he say the truth to Chanyeol, this would only hurt them.

"Baekhyun has a heart disease."

Chanyeol frozed, as he slowly sat down and held Baehyun's hand feeling the coldness. A heart disease?

"Because of his heart disease, he cannot experience extreme emotions... being too happy, angry, and being sad." Yixing told him, "Or even falling in love."

"Those can only affect his weak heart..." Yixing added.

Chanyeol suddenly remembered the day when Baekhyun was avoiding him.

"But he'll be fine right?" Chanyeol said as he turned his head and looked up at Yixing, "he can still survive.. right?"

Yixing tried his best to held back his tears before he answered the latter, "The doctor said that there's only small chance for Baekhyun to live... he might not be able to survive. I'm sorry."

It was like Chanyeol's world crushed when he heard that there's only a small chance of Baekhyun to live. His eyes were starting to water as he stares at their hands.

"I know it hurts.." Yixing said.

Chanyeol quietly sobbed while he was holding Baekhyun's hand, "Don't leave me.. please." he said softly, as he cried on the boy's hand.
