//(Y/N) in body of Taehyung//
It seemed as if my feet were glued to the floor of the auditorium, eyes wide and hands clammy. She was still wearing her uniform from work. She was a waitress at a diner in the evenings."It's nice to see you Taehyung," my mother spoke softly. I blinked to snap myself out it. "Please sit." She patted to the first seat in the row. I hesitantly sat down, keeping my eyes on her in disbelief.
She was here. She really was.
"Hello, Mrs. (Y/L/N). It's nice to see you as well." Her lips formed a small smile.
Our ears perked up at the voice of the announcer congratulating the last dancer for performing. I knew that Hana and Taehyung would be up soon.
"Ah, it seems that (Y/N) is going up next, correct?" She looked over at me with a shine in her eyes.
She was calm and her face was gentle. I never saw her this relaxed and collected. I would be lying if I said I wasn't surprised.
"Oh, that's right the g-girls are next." My words were spoken quick.
"That's nice. I haven't seen her dance in such a long time," she was looking at the stage. "I remember I used to dance with her when she was young, maybe when she was five or six. We would spin around the living room." My mother smiled as she thought of those times. Her eyes crinkled around the edges and she had smile lines around her lips.
"I'm sure she loved those times." I said. She just nodded in agreement.
"She really did. I wish I could have stayed with her but I just couldn't keep paying the bills. I had to get another job. It was bound to happen," She pressed her lips together. "I wish I could spend time with her. It's just not possible."
I could feel myself full with sympathy and understanding. "Your daughter. She understands the situation. She has told me that she wishes the same."
"I know but I still-" My mother was interrupted by the announcers clear voice.
"Please welcome the next participants in the duo category, Kim Hana and (Y/L/N) (Y/N)." The announcer said. Both of our attention went up to the stage.
Hana and Taehyung came out together and waited for the music to start. Once it did, my lips formed a smile as I watched. I was proud.
"I think she's an amazing dancer." My mother spoke next to me. She was focused on the performance as I watched her. "I only wish that her dream was something that she could have a stable future in."
I gulped. "Mrs. (Y/L/N), dancing is her passion. It makes her happy. She's told me that she wants to do what she loves. I think that she really would love it if you supported her. That's what she really needs." I explained, biting my lip. I hope she understands and that she thinks about it. I turned back up to the stage.
"I see." her voice was airy. As if she was contemplating something.
Taehyung was dancing gracefully. Everything connected. His movements looked to be flowing together. He really was in the music. His eyes focused and presence strong on stage. He was good, really good.
My smile appeared again. It was wider than before. Taehyung's eyes snapped up to meet mine. He gave me a smirk before continuing the dance.
I counted along to the steps until it was finished. The announcer congratulated them as the room erupted in applause and they made their way off stage.
"I should be going. It was nice to see you, Mrs. (Y/L/N)." I slightly bowed. She copied my actions.
"Thank you for inviting me Taehyung. Tell (Y/N) to invite me more often." She said sincerely.
