Misunderstood (Vanoss Crew x Reader)

(Y/N's POV)

The week painfully went by. People found this new me scary. They stayed away from me and feared me. I became the loner of the school.

It's surprising that it took me this long. I thought I would be the loner first day of school but I just had to make friends didn't I?

I opened my locker and grabbed my stuff. I walked out of the school not caring about anything right now. As I walked I bumped right into someone's chest.

"Watch it!" I said.

"Hey is that how you treat you cousin?" He asked.

I looked up and saw the blonde headed cousin of mine.

"Oh my God! It's you! Man your tall." I said.

He let out a chuckle and smiled down at me.

"Well come on shorty. I got an afternoon planned out for us. So let's go!" Bryce said.

"You did not just call me shorty you.. you stupid giant!" I said.

He let out his dorky laugh. I was pissed. I am not short.

"Whatever you say short stuff." Bryce said.

"Fuck you." I said and kicked his shins.

"Ow! Ok ok I'll stop. Let's go!" He said.

I huffed and followed him. I got in the passenger seat and crossed my arms like a child.

"You could look a little more lively." Bryce said as we pulled away.

"I shouldn't even try anymore." I said.

"Hmm that bad huh?" Bryce said.

"Yep." I said.

He sighed and continued driving. I looked out the window and saw them. They were waiting at the light post I usually pass by while going home.

They saw me in the car and looked pissed. I showed them the middle finger as we passed them. I turned my body to face the front and slid down my seat.

It took us an hour but we arrived at the place Bryce wanted to go. We got out of the car and went inside.

Three guys waved to Bryce and he waved back. He walked over to the table they were at. I followed him with curiosity.

"Hey guys!" Bryce said.

"Sup Bryce. Is this (Y/N)? Damn she looking fine." The guy in the red hoodie said.

"I will fucking slap you." I said.

"On the ass?" He asked.

I slapped him across the face for that stupid comment.

"Ow what the fuck?!" He said.

"I told you I would slap you." I said.

Bryce in the background was laughing his ass off.

"(Y/N) you are a legend. I missed you cousin." Bryce said.

"Whatever." I said and rolled my eyes.

"Alright so this is Luke, Ohm or Ryan whatever you prefer, and Squirrel." Bryce said pointing to each of them.

"Hello!" Squirrel said.

"Your still hot you know." Luke said.

"Hey!" Ryan said.

I sat down next to Bryce and we ordered our food as soon as the waiter came.

"So how's life?" Ryan asked.

"It sucks a lot. You don't even know half the story though." I said.

"From a scale to one to ten how bad?" Squirrel asked.

"15." I said.

"Shit. Man that's ruff." Luke said.

"The story is my friends left me over some manipulative chick I met the day before." I said.

"Wow. Just like that? Man it would take me a while to actually be convinced on turning on these fucks." Luke said.

"She found an old picture of me kissing my friend back in middle school. Apparently it's still on the internet and somehow she found it." I said.

"Hold up. Your saying this random chick found a photo of you and showed it to your friends. Knowing full well that it was you? How the hell did she even find that picture so fast?" Ryan said.

"She must of had some meat on (Y/N) cause there is no way she could have found that on her first day and knew it was (Y/N)." Bryce said.

"Probably just some jealous girl you used to know a long time ago." Luke said.

"Most likely it was. I did lose my friends once before but that was when my parents got themselves rich. So I can see why she did it." I said.

"Are you going to do anything about it?" Squirrel asked.

"No I can't do much when I don't have proof of her doing anything to me." I said.

I sighed but our food came so I cheered up. We chatted and ate for a while. This made me feel better. A lot better to be honest.

We joked about and had fun. By the time we finished it was time for me to leave.

"Aww man do you have to go?" Luke asked.

"Yeah I have to. But today is Friday so I'll be back in this area tomorrow. I can drive you know." I said.

"We know we'll text you where we're at tomorrow so you can hang with us!" Squirrel said.

"That'd be awesome. I'll see you guys around." I said.

"Bye!" They said as Bryce and I walked back to the car.

"Alright let's get you home and so your parents don't freak out." Bryce said.

"Yeah." I said.

The drive was silent. We didn't talk for a while.

"Hey Bryce?" I asked.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"Are you free in two weeks?" I asked.

"Not really no. Why do you ask?" He said.

"Well, I am going camping with my real friends and the ones I haven't seen in a while. I was hoping you could come along with us." I said.

"I sorry but I just can't. My new job has got me busy lately. And the others can't come either if your planning on asking them. They have their lifes too. I wish we could always be there for you but things are different now. And to be honest I hate it. I just wish things were like the good old days when we used to play in the dirt and not have a care in the world." Bryce said.

"Me too Bryce. Me too." I said.
